First Coldplay Concert?

Featured Replies

If I ever get to stand next to the stage I want to scream the same thing. :wacky:

At my Coldplay concert, I also spent most of the time with jumping around. :wacky:

When I saw them in Montreal, there were people next to me who were sitting during the whole show. It was like they didn't even know who Coldplay was (I think they came because their daughter wanted them to), I was like WTF??! Are you guys deaf or what. How can you not be jumping around and screaming. Chris energy is just infectious.

I also know someone who had never heard of Coldplay but her son took her to a concert and now she is in love with them.

SDSU Open Air Theatre, San Diego, CA, on September 9, 2002

American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas Nov 19, 2008. I was in the nosebleed :P, but it was still amazing! I've been a fan since X&Y era but sadly I didn't start going to concerts until I could drive and I was too young to drive then. My parents wouldn't take me.

July 18, 2009 at the Home Depot Center. Way out there in the lawn. I remember showing up 2 hours early just to be in the front row for the lawn. I love them for having a b-stage and the free live CD was a great touch too. Probably the best concert I've been to.

Friday May 15th, 2009 - West Palm Beach, FL

When I found out, the Tuesday before they were coming, I had only started liking them for around five months before. So I was 50/50 about going. Then, I decided to go. So that Tuesday afternoon I went online to order the tickets, and there was only two seats left in the "Shed." I was not going to sit on the lawn, whenever I go to an event, I always get the best seats. While pondering over getting the tickets, the time had expired getting the tickets and I lost them. I quickly went back to order them, but saw that they were taken. I was disappointed and continued to check. After looking a bunch of times, I saw the tickets again, the same ones. I ordered them, and went that Friday. Best decision I made*.

The only bad part was that some idiots were smoking pot behind us. If you idiots are on here, you should feel ashamed!

February 13, 2001 at the Virgin Megastore in West Hollywood, CA for a 5 song acoustic performance followed by seeing them perform a full concert on the same night at the Mayan Theater in Los Angeles.

I remember them playing almost every song off Parachutes plus covers of You Only Live Twice and What The World Needs Now in about a 60 minute performance.

I saw them 4 months later at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles and I remember them already playing a lot of Rush Of Blood songs prior to them being recorded like the title song and In My Place, plus Murder which ended up as a B side. I waited after the show and met the band for the first time.

I located the setlist online for the Mayan Theater concert I saw:

Mountford hall, University of Liverpool, 20th June 2002. I overslept the morning after and missed the whole of the first half of England v BRazil in the World Cup QF (and England's goal)

No way! Remember that morning and day so so well! Was up early that morning (had to go to school!) and recall my mum coming through to the kitchen saying England have scored' while eating my weetabix (with the usual coat of sugar on it - I had a sweet tooth). Was one of the few people in my class who actually wanted England to win (was a BIG fan of Michael Owen) so when that final whistle blew I was gutted.

In fact I remember that day so well that I ended the school day singing karaoke with the Primary 7's we were lumped into a class with for the whole day as it was their last day (small island school so it was often the case where two years were lumped into the same classroom and teacher)

August 3rd 2011...I'm still on a high from that...and it was such a small venue so we got about 50 feet from the band even though our seats were pretty far away.

Will be on October 1st 2011 at Rock in Rio, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

CANT FUCKING WAIT =D

10 years waiting to this dream come true! \o/

April 29th, 2005 at the Joint(very small venue) inside the Hard Rock Hotel here in Las Vegas, NV. I paid a lot of money for my balcony tickets and at the last minute got upgraded to 2nd row :o This was right before X&Y came out and this gig was filled with a lot of high-rollers so the crowd was not the greatest, although I had the time of my life. Been hooked on seeing them live ever since!

September 1st, 2008.

Strasbourg, France.

Me too ;) Monday, September 1rst 2008 at "Zénith Europe" (Strasbourg - France)

One of the best evenings of my life :awesome: *stars in my eyes*
