[26 or 27-June-2012] Coldplay @ Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, Milan [RUMOURED - NOT YET CONFIRMED]

...'The gig is planned in a range of dates from June, 19th to June, 30th. This is the booked period of time for Mylo Xyloto Tour stage, so it means that the real gig will be on June, 26 or June, 27...

An probably it means there will be a summer tour in 2012...

Oh interesting news! Can't wait to hear more :)

Wow so apart from the few arena gigs this Christmas and maybe a few after they're basically going straight into the stadium gigs

..and this means no arena date for us, I'm kinda disappointed by their touring decisions so far and June is soooo far away :disappointed:

That said I knew they were going to play there this time around, and as much as I hate Milan and the fact that it is a stadium and not a smaller gig, every gig I saw there (only U2, three times) was amazing not only because of the band performing, but because of the way the stadium is shaped it makes the audience choruses resonate even more, it just takes your breath away. I can provide proof about this :P

I'd love that since I'm from Rome but I have to say, the acustic of the Olimpico is shit! You only get to hear something properly when in the pit (been there for REM), but if you're sitting, you're miles away and can't hear ok, at least that's what I experienced myself. Maybe San Siro is better from that point of view?

As far as I know...no, at least from the third tier and because they have to keep the volume lower than other stadiums since the people living in the surrounding area keep protesting about gigs held there :dozey:

I've always been in the pit, both in San Siro and the Olimpico, and never had problems with the sound, but after all these stadiums were not built for concerts purposes, there will be acoustic problems in some areas whatever they do to avoid them

So, no concerts in Italy until June?

well, if it's so, I'll be hoping for a concert in Rome then!

I'd go for the pit anyway, so who cares? :laugh3:
