Official Mylo Xyloto lyrics (from Coldplay.com)

I'm going to sound stupid asking this question but in Hurts Like Heaven is it really "It's so cold, Its so cold" isnt just "so cold, so cold" does chris even have time to sing "It's so cold, Its so cold".

That's what it sounds to me - "So cold, so cold." Even after reading the lyrics, I still don't hear the "It's", so I"m putting it down as another mistake.

Fixed!:embarrassed: DLIBYH is THEN she sang, though.
Yes, I think you're right.

Also in princess of china is rihanna really singing "we burned bright" because I keep hearing "we were burnin' bright". I wish i knew
I also hear only so cold/so cold and in PoC I also here we were burning bright. No stupid question asked by you!

Wondering if we can get all the lyrics correct :D

I think this line works perfectly. I don't understand why people look for grammatical sense in lyrics. Lyrics are basically poetry and I don't see why they HAVE to work grammatically.

This line works very well through suggestive imagery juxtaposed directly, without any kind of punctuation. There's "drunken hazard" and "daniel in a lion's den" placed together which combine to create a very interesting and suggestive image.

There are a lot of lines in coldplay lyrics that don't make sense grammatically, but this doesn't mean that there is no meaning there. There definitely is meaning, it's just not straightforward. That doesn't make it a bad line.

Sometimes I would love for english mother tongue people to think how it can be difficult for a non english mother tongue person to understand lyrics from songs (and not only those of course). It might have a sense but try to translate it in Italian for me then, it's not so straightforward at all.

Listen to HLH again, it definitely sounds like IT'S so cold to me. Also, Rihanna pronounces thing differently than you would expect. She says "Burned" like it's two words and "Water" like "Wa-ter

LOL the guy who directed you to the post is the same guy who wrote the post :)

And I agree...

Did you read the bottom of the post? The guy said he didn't write it right there!

HLH: Yes, I do hear the first It's, but I mean the rest of the line; the second so cold doesn't even have a hint of it's before it. He sings all the time

T's so cold, so cold to me.

You seem right about the burned part. I already heard the water like that but missed the burned one. Now I do hear it as burned in stead of burning.

I hear "it's so cold it's so cold" in HLH !

Listen to HLH AGAIN, at higher volume maybe?

It's so hard to hear cause he's singing SO fast.

I hear "it's so cold it's so cold" in HLH !

THANK YOU!

also, the lyrics for UWTB say "the birds they sang, break of day" where it should be "at break of day." though that could just have been a typo by whoever typed these 'official' lyrics. same goes for 'Poh' as well :laugh3:

Yeah, I always like to sing "Poh ooh ooh" in my songs. NOT.

"Be a bright red rose come bursting the concrete

Be a cartoon heart "

That part is already fixed on the site

She sings it like "Burn Ed bright"
