There are still some clear parts where these lyrics simply are not correct. For example...Chris says "be a cartoon heart" in Charlie Brown, yet on here it says "and a Cartoon heart." You can't convince me that he says "and" and not "be".

Whoa... that's the biggest surprise of all these lyrics. I figured we'd find some changes to what we originally thought, but we were way off on this. Now that "LUMINOUS" on the graffiti wall makes sense!

these are impressively wrong.

 

it is the same lyrics that we got from japanese lyr booklet, and as the friend said above, no chance that it is "and a cartoon heart", so, at least for me, this single mistake compromises the whole. even though it is "official", from cdp site, it is clearly unnoficial to me, sorry :P

Have you ever seen the official lyrics of The Goldrush?!?!

Not only is the second line completely wrong, but half of the entire song is omitted!

Other bad mistakes include the misspelling of "waterfall" as "wasterfall" on the EP, the butchering of capitalization on Moving to Mars, etc.

I think the accuracy of Mylo's lyrics on Side A is better than I would have espected. (Paradise joke)

You know the story of Daniel and the lion's den right? Whether you know it or not, someone in a lion's den isn't a good thing. So just imagine a drunk, hazard Daniel in a lion's den. A REALLY bad thing. :laugh3: I'm assuming he sees himself this Daniel.

So Chris doesn't remember how he recorded them and he doesn't want to listen to the album versions to make sure. :lol:

I think come bursting through concrete sounds perfect. Chris with his accent doesn't say much of the R, but I like this lyric. Now some of the others...not so much.

I'm sure this is what's happening....these are the 'official' lyrics, which Chris probably submitted. However, when singing, he makes little mistakes. I'm sure during live performances, there will be other little word switches.

 

And, I, too, don't get the drunkin Daniel line. I understand the gist of what he's saying but his word usage is whacked,.

Dude, look at the lyrics thread in the Charlie Brown section.

 

About twenty of us have been saying this for months and months.

 

Here is a quote from me a month ago:

Yeah, it's either that or:

 

"So we soar luminous and wired. We'll be glowing in the dark".

 

To be honest I'm not sure what one it is. Soar makes more sense to me though, I doubt he'd say:

 

"so we're so"

 

Sounds silly.

It's like they want me not to like this album. :nod:

These lyrics seem just as wrong as the lyrics we have been guessing :laugh3: That is not good...

The only one I really have a problem with is UATW. "drunken hazard" is just...no

 

It has to be "My drunken head's a Daniel in a lion's den" unless someone tells me something better. Same with the first line. "Amen". Really?

^^ no the lyric has definitely always been "amen", watch any live performance with the camera on him while he sings it.

Really? I've always heard it as "Oh morning, come bursting, the clouds, they mend."

 

As in, the clouds mend.....which brings some sort of image of clouds rearranging in a pretty way (see: Paradise music video, after the 1st chorus).

 

"Oh morning come bursting, the clouds amen" is not grammatically complete and doesn't make sense.

 

That's how I hear/see it at least.
