Well, I was listening to the album and I noticed that in three songs they mention some kind of light. Take a look.

 

Charlie Brown:

"I saw the lights go down at the end of the scene, I saw the lights go down and standing in front of me..."

 

Every Teardrop is a Waterfall

"As we saw, ohh this light, I swear you, emerge blinking into, to tell me it's all right..."

 

U.F.O.:

"And that light, hits your eye..."

 

 

Also, pay attention to the articles:

that light

 

The songs are always talking about a specific light or lights. Do you think that might have something to do with the story? Or am I going too far?

Well like Chris said, the album is all about turning a bad situation into a good one... turning dark into light. I think it's as simple as that.

I never tried LSD but I know it makes you see crazy lights, hallucinate and shit... :D

Listen, I guess there was never an "Alien" theme on the recording. "Alien Radio", maybe? No, it does not mean Alien, but alienation. And about U.F.O., it's not about spaceships, but someone who is lost and can't find his 'place', his 'home'. And that thing in the middle of the album cover is not an alien head either, it's a heart.

Yeah, I think the UFO, and Alien things could be something like an metaphor for feeling alone, different, away form home.

As for the "alien song" I want, it would be kinda silly if they sang about actual aliens,
