i think it should be enough to find the mms:// source to record it via VLC..

Ok, i will be able to record it in MP3, 64kbps, mono (the quality of rtl streaming).

Converting it in flac would be useless, as the source itself is not that great.

WM Capture seems to bypass any restrictions. I'll just capture the stream 1st then figure out how to convert it to FLAC or MP3 later.

Recording with WM Capture results in a wmv file that I can just upload as such or convert in MP3 if needed. But as I read back, somebody else is already recording in MP3.:)
