Most work is really up to the editors.

 

For example if enough ppl say "I will record 3 songs in Munich" you don't necessarily have to swear you will record song a or song b. But if you want to go for specific songs you could add that to your comment of course, that way others can concentrate on other songs.

On the other hand tho, this "I'll record ..." can also cause some fuss so I never used this in the "organization". There were about 15 people for the Frankfurt multicam that said beforehand "I'll record some songs in HD from GA/stands" and eventually the cameras, together with people I found through youtube, were very well balanced throughout the concert.

 

The purpose of this thread / listing should be of help for editors who to rely upon as a good start for a possible multicam project devoted to a specific concert.

 

Great you would help with The Hague, R23! Let's hope you can collect enough good sources, and of course a good audio pops up. I believe this will be the hardest part.

So good that we've got not only people with knowledge, but with experience. Looks good, I think we can do that.

Maybe the added LA date means they are going to film a tour DVD there? :sneaky:

I'd love to do some editing! I don't know if I can make it to the The Hague gig yet...

 

Oh, and maybe someone could take a look at the "Film It Yourself" project? It's made by a division of a Dutch public broadcasting channel (in other words the Dutch BBC). They have their own iPhone app, which is really nice! Don't know if anyone from here could make something similiar?

I made this video of Coldplay at the UEA last year with footage found on YouTube from the gig. The idea was to raise a bit of money for charity, which it didn't really do, but I enjoyed making it anyway!
