The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You

Featured Replies

they are mentioned in all the books, my 33 year old sister loves those books:laugh3:

and twilight was a nice way to break American market and the writer is a really hardcore fan like us so...

Yeah, that's a good point; they were practically unknown in America until they used Twilight.

  • I've been a Muse fan for a couple of years now. I liked a couple of their hits but then a friend invited me to come with him to a Muse concert with him in 2013. The live experience was amazing and I h

I know, I don't have a problem with it being in the movie or anything. What bothers me is that you get Twilight fans that are like "Oooooh Stephanie Meyer likes Muse, I like them too!" and then just know SMBH. :| I don't even have a problem if someone finds out about Muse through Twilight and then ends up really loving them.

I don't even know why that bothers me so much. . . :bomb:

Yeah, that bolded part is exactly how Carla is. She discovered Muse through "Twilight," then came to me to inquire more about them because she knew they were my favorite. I gave her a few suggestions, and the rest is history.

CARLA I LOVE YOOOOOU.

Anyway, having said that, I do get annoyed by people who claim to love someone when they really only know one song or something. There's so much more to an artist than just one song. :\

She does; the Twilight soundtracks have like the best music on them. :wacky:

Heck yeah. :wacky:

They're included in like every single book's dedications.

I own all the books because I used to be a Twilight fangirl, now I can't stand them. :bomb:

O RLY NAO? I didn't know that.

Carla is :awesome:

I even learned about them through Twilight (didn't become a fan or listen to their music until I joined this forum though).

But I think my biggest problem is all the "fake" fans it's made: like you said, the ones that know one song and then think that they're considered fans.

Know I was a Twilight fangirl or know that they were in every book?

And actually, now that I think of it, they might not be in every book, I thought they were though. I only have the hardcovers of the last two books and the paperbacks don't have any dedications on them.

I tried to read the books, but found them incredibly boring so I didn't finish them. :| The films aren't too great either. :\ that's just my opinion. I have nothing against it or Muse being associated with it. :wacky:

But yeah, fans who say they love Muse and only know Supermassive Black Hole and Neutron Star Collision can annoy me.

Twilight books > Twilight movies

The movies were awful. :awesome:

Apparently Stephen King totally dissed Stephanie Meyer's writing.

It's better than if Muse did music for a worse movie, though. At least Twilight has some good things about it, like a huge fanbase.

and thats the only movie i liked too out of the three made:thinking:

Aw I'm sorry.

Yeah, I only have a problem with the ones that don't bother listening to the other songs.

You don't like Stephen King's writing? :surprised: He's a horror novel genius.

Although he must be kind of creepy to think up some of those stories. :anxious:

Yeah, she is.

Did you really? Huh.

Yeah, exactly. You can say that you like the song, but to declare yourself as a fan based on that is just retarded.

I didn't know you were a Twilighter. That was new information for me.

I read the first one. It tried to eat my soul. I didn't want to keep reading it, but for whatever reason, I couldn't stop. It was intense.

I haven't watched any of the films, actually, so I wouldn't know about that.

That is very true.

Haha yeah. :wacky: I was on vacation, and read all four books in one week.

The books are kind of addicting, if you somewhat enjoyed one something makes you want to keep reading the rest. . . :uhoh2:

Don't. :| That's my suggestion. :P

...OK, that works.

awwwwwwwww baby buster looks like his daddy:wacky:

I just want to say this...I LOVEEEEEE Muse and HATEEEEE Twilight :P
