The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy! :D Give it a go...

Btw I just finished a review of it for my Croatian class tomorrow... :wacky:

I don't read very much, but I really liked The Outsiders, which I read in 7th grade, and The Great Gatsby which I read this year. The latter you'll probally read in school if you haven't already, and it's a little advanced in its subject matter, but I thought it was great. Those two are standouts for me, and I usually don't like books, so that must mean they're pretty good.:)

Oh, and Jurassic Park is good too of you liked the movie. It goes a lot deeper, but there might be some gruesome stuff in there. It's pretty good though.

The Kite Runner (I haven't read, but I've been told many times to)

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

The Catcher in the Rye

Frankenstein

To Kill a Mockingbird

The Secret Life of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel Series

Percy Jackson!!!!!

:D

Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz is pretty crazy, but a good read. You should try it out. :)

The curious incident of the dog in the nighttime :awesome:

The Road

On The Beach

Brave New World

The Kite Runner (I haven't read, but I've been told many times to)

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

The Catcher in the Rye

Frankenstein

To Kill a Mockingbird

The Secret Life of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel Series

Percy Jackson!!!!!

:D

I second many of these, especially 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' trilogy. Also my favorite classic, 'Wuthering Heights'. Further, the 'A Song of Fire and Ice' series of which the 'Game of Thrones' tv series is based.

It depends on which kind of books you like to read... I love El Túnel (The Tunnel) by Ernesto Sabato; I don't know how hard it is to find it in english, but if you come across it, you should definitely read it.

The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy! :D Give it a go...:

Also, this.

Catcher in the Rye

Animal Farm

The Sun Also Rises

Ooohm, the link says Stepnane Hellel, haha.

Anything by Chuck Palahniuk (author of Fight Club) is all you need :wacky:

Atonement - Ian McEwan

Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Story - Leonie Swann

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest - Ken Kesey

Oscar and the Lady in Pink - Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt

Marley and Me - John Grogan

Hennig Mankell's criminals

I forgot to mention One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, that book is really good! Read it in my HS psychology class.

here are some of my favs:

The maze runner

The mortal instruments series (city of bones is the first book)

Percy jackson/the heroes of olympus

To kill a mockingbird

I recommend some of Ayn Rand's books, like The Fountainhead and Anthem.

The Fountainhead is amazing too, but I found it a bit boring at some parts :P

And this one:

J.S. Foer - Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close

I've never readen something like this in my whole life :surprised:

I've read both of those in school as well and enjoyed both of them. I think "The Great Gatsby" took a little bit more effort to get into, but that's alright.

The Catcher in the Rye

Frankenstein

To Kill a Mockingbird

 "Frankenstein" in particular is SO much better in book form than it is in movie format. The tone is much darker. The other two are just fine as well.

Also my favorite classic, 'Wuthering Heights'.

:dazzled:

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest - Ken Kesey

YES YES YES. The book is ten times better than the movie, and I'm a huge fan of the movie. My brother (who hates reading) even said it's probably the best book he has ever read. Please check it out.

I've never read The Fountainhead, but I'll vouch for Anthem.

Okey-dokey. You won't be disappointed if you do start to read Anthem. :)

When I said "I'll vouch for Anthem," I was agreeing with you. I've read Anthem more than several times over.
