No I didn't my average isn't high enough, and like you I don't want to put in the hours of work it takes just to fill out the forms.

There was this one scholarship where the applicant had to write a 1000 word essay about why they're eligible for the scholarship...How crazy is that?? So i just said "fuck it"..and decided not to go for any of them.. i mean, i still have to complete my stupid ryerson journalism portfolio, which includes a 250-300 word essay about a form of media ( :roll: ) and other things like journalistic experience and life experience...

 

If only i signed up for english, i wouldn't have to do any this shit... :x

In the end it will be worth it though.

Anyways, i'm at work right now.. i'm telling everyone b/c i'm so supremely bored!! I came in here at around 9:00 and they gave me my little desk and computer and stuff. They showed me around the office, which is pretty nice, i must admit. And around 10 am they give me a whole shit load of files that need to be dated and put back in their cabinets... i have all these paper cuts and stuff..LOL.. yeah, and then i didn't take my lunch break until after i finished my work , which was around 1:00, so i'm basically just sitting around doing nothing, b/c they don't have any other work to give me....LOL..i get to leave at 3...!! isn't that crazy! they said that a full work day for me is 9 to 3 b/c i'm still technically a student..hahaha...

 

Yeah, but it's not so bad here..just quiet... i never see my cousin around.. he's on another floor.. BUT there is a guy who kinda reminds me of Guy Berryman, i think his name is James.. :) Yeah, so, work ain't that bad, but i'd much rather be home sleeping..hehehe

 

Oh! and i already got told about my clothes... :lol: i wore a denim skirt and a nice top b/c my cousin said that it would be okay, but my "supervisor" says that i have to wear something more appropriate or something.... :roll: anyways, i'm bushed... :D

At least you get to buy some new clothes for the job :)

I started my job last Friday, but for now it's part-time. They will call me whenever they need me to come in. So far I've worked twice and I work again tomorrow. My job is a lot of filing also and I got tones of papercuts :(

 

Monday night til Tuesday I went to London to visit Western with a friend of mine. I've never been before and it was really nice. I was impressed with how thorough the tour of the campus was. I don't know if I would go there though. It seems a little snobbish. :shrug:

 

Are you only working there for two weeks?? And you should be happy you have a computer, I just have a shitty old desk with the most uncomfortable chair in the universe!

hehehe....yeah..new clothes, i'm going this weekend... i just got back actually... i went to dinner with my cousin and his co-workers...that was so weird..they're all like 30 and i'm 18!! hehehe... but my mom yelled at me for not wearing the proper clothes, so she gave me some of her work clothes but their huge!!!!! so, i just bought a two skirts and a black pair of pants on tuesday night..hehe :D

 

So you started working?? i hate filing...it's the worst...you're right!! i have a computer and whenever i finish my work, i just go on the internet until they give me more... today was pretty bad..i had to fill in all these forms for these people and this woman yelled at me for getting some of her info wrong..it pissed me off, whenever i would ask her a question, she would answer really quietly so i'd always have to say "excuse me".. but my chair is really comfortable... it's one of those back support ones that spin and roll...i have so much fun on that chair..lol

And Western is kinda snobbish, but I also wanna visit the Carleton campus, my mom said on Easter weekend we might go to Ottawa. My cousin is coming to stay with us for Passover and it's around that time so everyone might go. A friend of mine went to Carleton yesterday and I am seeing her tomorrow night so I will ask her about it.

 

I am working tomorrow SATURDAY but that's ok because I offered to work and I really want the money. I am kinda confused about what I should wear to my office. It's a relatively small office, about 10-15 people work there but the two head guys wear suits except for Friday and everyone else kinda dresses nice, not too formal but not too casual either. And I am just kinda like a temp so it's not like they care so much about what I wear, but jeans aren't appropriate. I dunno like they are pretty nice and they probably wouldn't care if I wore jeans just I might feel a little weird, but then again I don't want to buy a whole new wardrobe just for a job I have for 6 weeks. I could talk about clothing and shopping all day :lol:

i've seen them play live on tv (conan and jay leno) but not actually seen them. Alex sings a lot better live because his voice is lower and makes him sound really hot!!

When i was watching the Wedge ALONG time ago when alex and jason were hosting thats when i fell in love with 'em.. It took me a long time to get their cd because i wasn't sure if i should get it because it was so expensive but i got it anyway with the extra cd and do the panic is really good.

 

They haven't been here < toronto> for along time!! When they come, I'm going to try so hard to get tickets to see them. phantomplanet! yay! ahh ahh ahh :o

hehehe..i downloaded a bunch of their live performances from Conan and Letterman, but i have yet to find Leno on Kazaa... :shrug: Yeah, but i saw them live when they opened for Incubus and before the concert i made sure to download some PP songs so that i would know what they're singing and they sounded great so when i went to the concert it made me love them even more!! Phantom Planet + Incubus= the best!! :lol: That weekend i watched the Wedge too and they were HILARIOUS!!! Remember when Jason fell?? hehehe... :lol: I have their cd! it was expensive...it was $25.99 at HMV.... :roll:
