VIP Experiences to date?

I have AMEX VIP tickets for the Atlanta show and am wondering what to expect. How soon will I be notified with the specific details for the event? For those who have already experienced VIP at another show, was it worth the money? Any other helpful insight would be appreciated.

Thanks.

In the past, VIP events have varied greatly depending on a lot of factors. I know people who had experiences all accross the board, and have heard both positive and negative reactions. I'm not really sure there's a "normal" for these, but I've not gone myself, so I couldn't say for certain.

Hi! If you have the VIP tickets purchased from Ticketmaster and they are the VIP packages you will receive pick up instructions for your collectible lanyard and laminate 5-7 days prior to your show date. You will also receive an email regarding your VIP package - t shirt size, mailing address, etc.

At the show, you will receive your collectible ticket and lanyard as well as your original ticket and be escorted to the merch area where you can get your merch in advance. If you have VIP passes for the pre-show party you will be taken downstairs for your reception.

Being a Coldplay fan, yes it was worth the money - a little disappointed production for VIP products is taking a month longer than expected...due to receive my package before May 25th...we will see.

I would do this again, yes. Completely worth the cost, especially for such a production like this!

Hope I answered your questions. If you have anymore, just let me know!

Yes, very helpful responses. Did your package arrive in time?

Thanks.

  • 1 month later...

I'm at my wits' end!!!

I purchased the VIP Tour Package for the Charlotte show in January and in the confirmation it said an email would be sent later with instructions for getting the merchandise. In the time since, the email address I used started blocking all incoming email. When I discovered this, little more than a week before the 7/3 show, I set up a new email address, changed it on the Ticketmaster/Livenation site and started calling. The first representative told me that the email would go out 3-5 days before the show and they would pass along my new email address to the "client rep". No email 3 days before show so I call again. This time I'm told they will again contact the "client rep" and have the email resent. Meanwhile, in Live Chat with another rep at Tmaster/LNation, she tells me I'll be able to pick up the merchandise at the show. You can see where this is going, right? You got it! Get to show, no merchandise. There was someone there who introduced herself as the mysterious "client rep" who gave me an email address and told me to email her, she'd send me a link to select tshirt sizes and the items would then be mailed to me. I did that the day after the show and still have no response. Has anyone else had this much trouble getting what they paid for?!?! I loved the show, but I could have done without the extras of the package, I just wanted a good seat. But I've paid for it, and now can't get what I paid for!! This is my first experience with this type of package, and I hate to say that it's very poorly done. Any thoughts on how I might push this further along?

I purchased my VIP packages in January for the Hollywood Bowl show that was in May. The site said that merchandise would be mailed to you. We didn't receive the merchandise until a couple of weeks after our show, the t-shirts, keychains and lithographs. You did need to go to the website to choose tshirt sizes, which we did the minute we received the email. Don't worry, it says on the info for the VIP packages that your merchandise may not arrive before the show. I have a friend who was at the Tampa show last week, and has not received his merchandise by mail yet either. Live Nation is just really slow with it. You will get it :)

Thank you for the information. However, I have never received the link to select tshirt sizes. This was the link I was promised by the person at the venue. And no one at Livenation seems to know anything! It's so frustrating!

I went back through my emails and found the one I was sent with the code to use for the tshirts. Do you have this info:

For all Coldplay VIP package questions please contact us at: [email protected]

Hope this helps and good luck.

Yes, and again, thank you for replying. That's the email address the person at the arena gave me, I sent an email the next day and have received no reply whatsoever. And of course Livenation's promised call back to me yesterday or today hasn't happened. Again. I hope the band reconsiders who they do business with next go round.
