So, I didn't see a thread for this but unfortunately BeeGees co-founder Robin Gibb passed away today at the age of 62 after a long battle with cancer.

It's a shame, I really love his music. I was really happy when he came out of his coma, but I guess it was just his time. I don't really know what to say other than we'll always have his music. R.I.P man.

I am glad that the thread starter posted some of Bee Gees' hits from the 1960's because otherwise the media concentrate on the band's DISCO PERIOD.

 

2 great disco performers / names passed away this week: Robin Gibb + DONNA SUMMER.

Extremely sad. I was brought up with his music, and his brothers and him were brilliant songwriters.

I just heard about this on the news :( I was never a fan of the Beegees but I respect that he was a talented musician and influenced so many people. I'm surprised Coldplay haven't done some sort of tribute yet.
