February 3, 201610 yr Oh, thank you. I did find several videos on YouTube where I heard several songs for the first time. I'd love to know the lyrics site you trust the most for accuracy. Thx.
February 3, 201610 yr Glass of Water...will I see heaven in mine? I'm taking that as the action that's part of the cure
February 3, 201610 yr Me too. I don't know the Escapist. I think I'm at a disadvantage here because I really only know the album songs. I've been using WikiColdplay to look up sings, then lyrics. Any other ideas? The Google link shared was just the general one; any other websites? Now I want to hear all these songs I'm missing!! The Escapist is an album song, it is the final track of Viva :) No to all guesses so far. Here is the guideline to go: Find the action that may be part of the cure (for what? for whom?) when in the end you follow Death and all his friends. A similar action is described in a lyric line of one song. This song is what we are looking for.
February 3, 201610 yr LOL: Just discovered that when looking at lyrics. I never got into Viva that much- the death title scared me off! Now I like some of it. So we want a song that tells us an action that cures someone or something when we die? I don't mean to be dense, but what does it mean to "follow death and all his friends"?
February 3, 201610 yr So we want a song that tells us an action that cures someone or something when we die? Yeah, that sums it up pretty well ! but what does it mean to "follow death and all his friends"? to die !
February 3, 201610 yr But how can you cure someone when they are already dead? So maybe we are looking for curing something when someone dies.....hmmmm
February 3, 201610 yr The entity that is cured is not the same as the entity that is dead. :) So we are looking for an action that cures someone after someone else has died.....would that be a correct statement? *shuffles through his copious notes in the "I ran away riddles you´ll never solve but you´ll keep trying" folder*
February 3, 201610 yr @ anthamic: No... @ Jedi Leo: LOL. Well an entity need not be a living thing....but just so to move this riddle forward, I'll say yes, someone.
February 3, 201610 yr And just to be clear, the action of that "cures someone" is in a verse of the song we are looking for, not in the title, correct?
February 3, 201610 yr And just to be clear, the action of that "cures someone" is in a verse of the song we are looking for, not in the title, correct? Yep.
February 3, 201610 yr So if someone dies....another someone might feel what....grief? Sadness? emptiness? anger? We are looking for an action that then alleviates these symptoms? You guys Im contributing by pursuing the logic thread, but I have next to no chance of finding this verse haha So Im counting on some of you to maybe get a-ha moment! :bulb2:
February 3, 201610 yr Damn I should have checked here before going on with my search. Well, I'll try anyway: Amsterdam I'm dead on the surface... You came along And you cut me loose *dives back into the lyrics*
February 3, 201610 yr So if someone dies....another someone might feel what....grief? Sadness? emptiness? anger? Not necessarily. Someone might also feel extraordinarily lucky (and not even be a jerk for thinking that)
February 3, 201610 yr Damn I should have checked here before going on with my search. Well, I'll try anyway: Amsterdam I'm dead on the surface... You came along And you cut me loose *dives back into the lyrics* No....
February 3, 201610 yr Not necessarily. Someone might also feel extraordinarily lucky (and not even be a jerk for thinking that) Lucky that someone else died? Hmmm You kinda lost me here...unless its someone who really suffered and finally passed away? I don't know.
February 3, 201610 yr I didn't say someone else is happy that somebody died, but it might make this person extraordinarily lucky....
February 3, 201610 yr I didn't say someone else is happy that somebody died, but it might make this person extraordinarily lucky.... Hmm ok so someone is inheriting something from someone who´s dead *lol* But if he/she is lucky, why would he/she need a cure? A cure for poverty? LOL *mulls over this further*
February 3, 201610 yr *mulls over this further* Yeah, please do :D I don't think I can give out any more clues at this point or it will be too obvious....
February 3, 201610 yr I don't know...the only song that comes to mind to me now is Viva La Viva, because of all that "we want the king dead because he´s bad" theme. Serving his head on a silver plate might be the cure to the afflictions he´s putting on the population he is presiding over.
February 3, 201610 yr Another try: Rainy day (The deeper the knife goes in, the more you win) This seems totally fitting to me! The best guess so far imo
