(It would ruin the whole idea... kind of) As part of winning the Biggest Will Champion fan award I accidentally promised to do a drum cover for every single Coldplay song that has drums in it. My initial idea for how to do it didn't really work out so I had to do it the easy way... I'll be looking to upload a new cover at least every other day, so keep your eyes open if you like what I'm doing. And I wouldn't mind if you left a comment too, either here in this thread, or on YouTube. Record the song that way and then put the mp3 over the video at a volume in which we can hear both the song itself and your drumming. EDIT: This actually seems like a problem in a lot of the videos. Don't get me wrong you sound great, I just can't hear the songs very well.
January 28, 201313 yr Author i tried that but it took ages to get it to sync propperly, and when it does sync at the begining of the video it's for some reason a few seconds of at the end of it.... I used Windows Movie Maker when i did it as it's the only free software i could find for doing it, but if you know anything better i'd be more than happy to try it out :)
January 28, 201313 yr If you play the music from your laptop with headphones (which does look like they'll reach) then I don't think you'll have that problem. Record yourself sitting back down and turning on the music, timing would be fine then. All you'd need to do from there is slice that first part of the video out (where you sit down) and timing of the song over the video shouldn't be that much of an issue.
January 28, 201313 yr Author the problem i have is that when i put the music in to the video afterwards the added MP3 plays slower then what it does when i record... I don't what this is due too but i noticed that the difference in speed was even greater if i played the music from my phone to the headphones
