Looking back on my Coldplay year ...

Featured Replies

... it has been a very interesting time.

At the beginning of the year I had a huge respect for Coldplay. Their albums had been great, but then the popularity of the Scientist is what really got me to listen to both AROBTTH and Parachutes more closely. The greatness of that one song helped me see Coldplay's underlying place in the music universe.

Yes, Coldplay is kind of looking their luster with for me lately, but I still listen to AROBTTH every three weeks. They're style, though it fits right into the middle of the pop/rock universe, is so unique ... there isn't another band which touches that nerve.

Over the past month I though I was in dange rof being over Coldplay. They've probably been a little overexposed in the mainstream. But this week, listening to all the music I have ...

... I realize I'm really happy to be an avid Coldplay fan!

thats a great description...nice words found for our coldplayism

We love coldplay and everybody rox!!!

But let me be serious for a minute her (this doesn't happen too often :P :D )

I think that Coldplay have brought us wonderful music. The simplicity and the power of the music are overwhelming. They don't spend any time adding "decorations" to their music but just complete it as a whole with the instuments and lyrics. I think it's brilliant. It comes to us from a place that only artists can reach..sigh

I simply love Chris' voice. It's so full of emotion and sentiment. The music is magical and I can truly say that I'm very happy that I discovered them when I did.

Totally agree with you sista ! Woo hoo !

I've been a few weeks without listening to Coldplay music. Yesterday I hear for the first time the Live 2003 CD. And I remembered why I started to love them.

I didn't remembered that See you soon and Shiver is in it, and when I listened... I was... woooooooowwwwww!!!!!

Count me in the proud list!! :D
