THE BIGGEST BAND IN THE WORLD: COLDPLAY! :D Coldplay’s Ghost Stories, Paolo Nutini’s Caustic Love and Ellie Goulding’s Halcyon among the UK’s best-selling artist albums of 2014 so far. According to the Official Charts Company’s sales data for the first half of 2014, Coldplay’s Ghost Stories is the biggest selling artist album of 2014 so far. Released in May of this year, Ghost Stories became the British band’s sixth UK chart topper, knocking Michael Jackson’s Xscape (Number 19 in year to date Top 40) off the summit of the Official Albums Chart. It sold over 168,000 copies during its first week of release, and has sold in excess of 375,000 copies to date. Check the full top 40 list and more details here.
