Chris Martin, Janelle Monáe, Ed Sheeran To Salute Stevie Wonder

WILLIE NELSON AND USHER ALSO AMONG FIRST PERFORMERS ANNOUNCED FOR "STEVIE WONDER: SONGS IN THE KEY OF LIFE — AN ALL-STAR GRAMMY SALUTE," AIRING FEB. 16 ON CBS

Current GRAMMY nominees Chris Martin of Coldplay, Ed Sheeran and Usher, GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter Janelle Monáe, and seven-time GRAMMY winner Willie Nelson are the first performers announced for "Stevie Wonder: Songs In The Key Of Life — An All-Star GRAMMY Salute."

The primetime special, presented by The Recording Academy, AEG Ehrlich Ventures and CBS, will pay homage to Wonder's iconic career with performances celebrating his incomparable songbook. The two-hour special takes place at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Tuesday, Feb. 10 and will be broadcast in HDTV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network on Monday, Feb. 16 from 9–11 p.m. ET/PT. Additional performers and presenters will be announced shortly.

"Stevie Wonder is an absolute legend and I am so honored to be a part of this very special night," said Sheeran, who is nominated for three GRAMMY Awards this year, including Album Of The Year for X.

A 25-time GRAMMY winner, Wonder is the only artist to have received Album Of The Year honors for three out of four consecutive years with Innervisions (1973), Fulfillingness' First Finale (1974) and the seminal Songs In The Key Of Life (1976).

YO what's with all the hate!

come on guys, read carefully. it's not the grammys, but the grammy tribute for Steve Wonder. coldplay have performed at these tribute quite a few times as a band. too bad it's just chris this time.

and the tribute is 2 days after the actual grammys. does that mean coldplay won't perform at the grammys? because, if the whole band were to perform at the grammys, they would probably hang around for a couple of days and to the tribute instead of chris doing it alone.

good news is we can see it this time on the 16th!

No Rihanna???

hmmm that's interesting indeed.

So if that rumor of a Rihanna/Coldplay performance is true, perhaps RiRi will perform one of her own songs in some sort of acoustic version with Chris playing the guitar/piano? Or would Chris somehow feature in her next album?
