Coldplay & Swearing

Why?

You don't need to swear in songs. There's seriously not point. Once you swear in a song, its marked [Explicit] and all this does is limit purchases by people who don't like swearing and you can't play it on the radio without changing it! Whats the point?

This is one of the best things about Coldplay. I never have to worry about singing songs with swear words. Swearing isn't allowed in our home. LOL. My parents don't even swear when they fight.

Coldplay swore in the song "Arabesque" released October 24th, 2019.

"The same f*****g blood"

here are the lyrics:

I could be you

You could be me

Two raindrops in the same sea

You could be me

I could be you

Two angles of the same view

And we share the same blood

Comme deux gouttes d’eau

On se ressemble

Comme provenant de la même mère

Comme deux ruisseaux (You could be me)

Qui se rassemblent (I could be you)

Pour faire les grandes rivières

And we share the same blood

Yeah we share the same blood

And we share the same blood

Yeah we share the same blood

Music is the weapon, music is weapon of the future

Music is the weapon, music is weapon of the future

Music is the weapon, music is weapon of the future

The same f*****g blood

The same f*****g blood

-Coldplay

And now we know who put a stop to swearing in records until now. Will, of course.

He will also swear in Trouble in Town and potentially in Guns. It's a first for Coldplay that this record is marked "explicit".

Personally I don't like it but I bet, like in Arabesque, it won't be done gratuitously or in a vulgar way but rather to drive home an important point.
