I'm going to bring my cynicism in here for a moment. :P

 

So who else thinks that the Olympics are an gigantic waste of time and money for the host city? All I've been hearing for two weeks is how woefully unprepared Athens is for the Olympics. Now they've spent seven years and billions of dollars on them, and in 16 days all they'll be left with is a bunch of unfinished sports venues and a colony of empty condos at the edge of town. :/

I agree a bit with Tom. Olympic Games are the biggest marketing for a city.

 

Anyways in Barcelona was great. The city was cleaned and building/structures/roads were built. It was a kind of new image and the city was better.

And the spirit and ambient those days was fantastic! :D
