The Rearranging Thread - Post your track list!

Featured Replies

I have to admit, on first listen, I have really enjoyed the album.

However, my concern is that the transition between certain songs just doesn't work. It's too sudden and/or incongruous.

So I started playing around and came up with the following revised track list (Miracles included!):

1. A Head Full of Dreams

2. Amazing Day

3. Army of One & X Marks the Spot

4. Birds

5. Everglow

6. Kaleidoscope

7. Adventure of a Lifetime

8. Fun

9. Hymn for the Weekend

10. Miracles

11. Up&Up

12. Colour Spectrum

Having Colour Spectrum offers a sort of Life in Technicolor-The Escapist transition that adds a degree of circularity to the record.

Have you changed the track listing at all in your own playlists?

1. AHFOD

2. HFTW

3. AOAL

4. Birds

5. Fun

6. AOO/XMTS

7. Amazing Day

8. Everglow

9. Colour Spectrum

10. Miracles

11. Kaleidoscope

12. Up&Up

I think the front end flows nicely as is already:

AHFOD

Birds

HFTW

AOO/XMTS

AOAL

Fun

Kladeioscope

Everglow

Miracles

Amazing Day

Color Spectrum

Up & Up

Nice original suggestions :)

It never occurred to me to change the order of songs on an album. Maybe I am old-fashioned vinyl-type haha But I dont know...it would feel like a sin to me to tamper with how the artist laid out the work, kinda like wanting to move colours around on a canvas hehe

Coldplay did a great job with the tracklisting of MX and GS, we had a real story told.

AHFOD tracklisting is less interesting and certain transitions simply don't work, like Everglow to AOAL and Colour Spectrum to Up&Up.

My conclusion is that AHFOD is not a concept album

Well, I'd do the album like this:

1. A Head Full Of Dreams

2. Birds

3. Hymn For The Weekend

4. Everglow

5. Adventure Of A Lifetime

6. A Spell A Rebel Yell (just try this, you won't regret this)

7. Fun

8. Kaleidoscope

9. Amazing Day

10. Colour Spectrum

11. Up&Up

(Hidden Track: In Dreams by Lo, a song by Coldplaying forum member Lobabe, he's incredible:D)
