tderoon
Hi everyone! It took me a while, but I finally 'cracked' the code and found out which chords Chris uses during AHFOD live performances of ETIAW! That being said: the bottom two strings are probably tuned differently, and that's the only thing I have yet to figure out: So if someone can figure out the tuning using these correct chords, that would be awesome! EDIT: Suggested/confirmed tuning is: EADEAE Suggested chords D: 10.12.12.10.0.0. C#/A: 9.12.11.0.9.0. F#m: 2.4.4.2.0.0. A: 5.7.7.5.0.0. This video helped me the most: BUT: Can someone please help to find the right tuning for these chords?

Koleybolen
EADEAE does not sound right It is correct! The first chord shape can be used for the A D C#m E F#m as well! But Chris alternates from the first chord on the tab to the 2nd

rpindacity
It is starting to sound really good. But this doesn't seem right. D: 10.12.12.11.0.0. C#/A: 9.12.11.0.9.0. F#m: 2.4.4.2.0.0. A: 5.7.7.6.0.0. Maybe someone can edit? Like first two chords may be (this is where Chris switches in verse) 10 and 10 12 12 12 11 10 10 0 0 0 0 and 2 4 4 2 0 0 sounds great also 0 0 0 0 0 sounds good But there are missing chords. Lol help

Lol help I think you're correct, saying that he plays the same note on the 'G' (now E) string. (So 10 and 10, 2 and 2) At the "Wah wah wah wah waterfall" part he plays some sort of G chord at the fifth fret: this will probably be a 5.7.7.5.0.0 I think. The only problem I have with this is that Chris usually plays these types of shapes with his index finger and thumb: while during these live performances he plays them (10.12.12.10 for instance) with his thumb and middle-finger. (leabving his index finger out entirely) Why would he do that?
rpindacity
It may just more comfortable for him. Since the frets decrease in size down the neck of the guitar. I see what you are saying tho. It could still be a different tuning/chords, or he just plays it like that bc it's easier
