if everyone says forums are dead because of how popular social media are............ then why do spambots still spam them everywhere non-stop, as if that has any use?

I don't know if someone controls ads in the site, but even ads in here are getting weird. Dating sites and weird useless products are all over the place.

@yoyo2000 I see what you did there. Anyway, using an ad blocker might be a solution. As for me, it is really much better that way.

it might be nicer for you, but please be aware that ads are the way this site generates some money to keep everything online. There are generally only two banner ads per page and they're really not in the way ;)

I happened to forget this fact! Thank you for pointing out all of that. You know, everytime I see advertisements on websites they make me go crazy that's why I've decided to install an ad blocker. However, now I realize I must really be a selfish person if I behave this way. Gonna unlist this site as soon as I get to the PC.

 

Feeling better about myself after being able to acknowledge again how it all works and telling myself to do a good deed. Thanks again!

yeah I feel you, I use an adblocker for most websites too. but coldplaying and some other sites I care about are whitelisted
