Late to the party, but still here! :D

Two more low-quality photos of the other night:

And a higher quality one than before of Gary serenading Nathan:

I've got a brief paper to write right now, but I'll be playing Final Straw while writing it! :D

  • Finally a new album from the band! Haven't heard the full album yet, just the 3 pre-released songs and they're great.

@Meredith- posting videos from youtube is really easy. Just go to the vid and copy the URL, then, when you open a reply window, click on the world icon and paste the URL. You can check that it worked by hitting Go Advanced. It won't show the video embedded in the preview, just the link, but it'll embed in the actual post. :)

Edit: Great pics, Michael! Good luck with your paper!

and... I have satellite radio on in the other room... Chasing Cars just started! :wacky:

BYE giulls :)

JEN what luck huh? so nice of those girls to save ya a spot!t?)

There's another one?! ...wait, I'm sure you've showed it to me, but you know, I'm just too forgetful... :dozey: Wish I was a genius like Mary... (Okay, I'll stop now  )

There must be three. First was this one, then another photo / video and third was the Run video where I indentified Nathan by his legs. Man, I can't remember the photo as well. I just know he wears black pants - very helpfull. :dozey: It's a live shot too. I need to find it.

'Keep your hands down, Mary' :D (I'm stopping now as well )

i think i offended everyone with my grey's anatomy comments - sorry! :\:embarassed:

No, no! I wasn't offended.

I found out about Snow Patrol, Ingrid Michaelson and Thirteen Senses through Grey's and I just felt the need to say that.

Bad, Imke! :whip:

ha. just kidding, you know I love Muse, too!

Glad you're liking Final Straw!

 A week later and I would have been here with all my heart, but at the moment I can hardly think about anything else than Muse.

Sorry.

Yes, it was incredibly nice of them! They were really sweet. I swear, SP and Coldplay fans are the nicest people in the world! :nice:

THANKS JEN :)

ok here goes - just trying...( i don't have delusions that this is a good video) hahah

Bianca has already seen this - its from night #1 in NYC - they stop 1/2 way through because everything just stops working i guess....but don't worry they played it again before they left. (and Gay made a joke out of saying "We'll play it ONE more time for you and then we really have to go)....it was awesome

 this song gets such a bad rap from so many fans, but it really is just a gorgeous song. :wacky:

indeed it is! "lets waste time chasing cars around our heads..." & "if i lay here, if i just laid here, would you lie with me & just forget the world?" :)

& it helps that that oh-so-familiar chime that runs thru the entire song is so easy to play on the guitar....so i like the song even more. hahahaha (i'm a sad case, i am! :P )

Don't have a YouTube account, so let's see if the following works for you all:

It's the 10 seconds I nabbed of The Lightning Strike before realizing I hit Record instead of the photo view button.

On the topic of Chasing Cars, I'm mostly neutral to the song. I like at least half the songs on Eyes Open better, but it's still a pretty song when you take away the whole "Signature Song" factor.

Umm sorry, I really can't think of photo you mean... But I do remember the Run video, yes! Although I didn't even notice that guy's legs, to be honest... I recognized Nathan anyway. :smug: (I must say the whole leg-theme only backs up our "Mary-idea"... (Sorry, it's so hard to resist))

that's a great video.... esp since you captured the band's reaction! Thanks for sharing it!

My favorite line: Those three words are said too much, they're not enough...

Sorry, Jen. I'll keep my mouth shut from now on. Promised.

That's better! :whip:

:P I hope you know I'm just teasing you!

I'm searching for it.

I don't know what it's with his legs and me but I can't get over it. Seriously. And about the leg-theme and Mary-thing - I promised to not say anything about it anymore but it's sooo hard to resist.

'I find it harder to restist ...' <- Even Gary thinks like that!

ooooh, so fantastic! Thanks for sharing it!

I didn't really get to see most of the LS animation. The venue they played at here was kind of weird and they didn't have their screen behind them, as they usually do. It was actually over our heads like a tent (over maybe the first 4 rows out from the stage). So, if you wanted to watch the effects for the different songs or the animation from Lightning Strike you literally had to look up completely away from the stage. It hurt my neck and I couldn't see the guys while I was watching, so I didn't get to see a lot of it!

^ Ah, that sucks about the animation. :( My druggie friend was tripping during it.

"Somewhere a Clock is Ticking" is like a huge slap in the face of awesomeness. You don't see it coming, then POW! Your face is now drenched in awesomeness as you scream from the awesome sensation that aches from every wince of awesomeness. When I hear that song, it's like I'm BLEEDING AWESOMENESS.

 yeah, I could see how that animation would be :awesome: while you're tripping!

And "bleeding awsomeness". Awesome. :laugh3: I didn't like SACIT at all when I first heard it. Now I kind of love it.

SACIT (haha, "Sack it!") took a while to grow on me also. They played it the other night which was a nice surprise, but I heard it was in place of "You Could Be Happy", which I love just as much. :\

EDIT: Oh awesome, found it on YouTube:

*lol* your use of "awesome" & "awesomeness" is SO like Barney from How I Met Your Mother! :laugh3:

now all you have to do is associate "it's going to be legen...wait for it...dary!" to Snow Patrol. ;)

@Michael- Really? So you got something quite different then, at your show. It seemed like they were alternating between You Could Be Happy and Finish Line. We got YCBH in Austin; Houston got the Finish Line. love them all... too bad they couldn't play them all!

and @Kimmi- LOVE HIMYM!!!

edit: sorry for all the acronyms. I'm lazy today. :P

we got finish line & you could be happy in nyc - lucky night :) LOVE the vids

If anyone's interested...

Found this video this morning and thought it was quite nice... The questions are a bit different in my eyes which is really nice. :nice:

You know, I DO get your point... ;) He's got a pair of fairly nice legs. That's just a fact. :D It'd be great if you found the other "proof", so I can see whether I remember it in the end or not. ;)

I now feel like such an awful person for never having watched "How I Met Your Mother".

I just hate when jokes fly over my head.
