well, for this thread and it's content, i'm serious. It's a serious subject so why would i be joking? But all is water under the bridge.

i doubt yorkisagod, whose original comment on rape you questioned, was being too serious in her "preaching" (or may be she was...hmmm)...and then neither was i....from the icons.

no abortion! its like murder. if you dont want to get pregnant, dont do it, atleats use protection. and if you get raped cause youre high or something, its your fault, put the baby up for adoption. that child is a human, even not yet born, it has a fate and that should be respected.

well ummm theres other ways you can be raped where it isn't your fault obviously but i think no matter how the child was conceived, they're still human and shouldn't be murdered.

abortion is too cruel if the baby's totally healthy and all that, but if its because of rape (like you guys said) then i think its ok to abort the baby, but its still really evil :angry:. But im against abortion anyways. :)

I think it is in both ways, wrong, and right. But I also feel it's up to the parents or mother. It's their choice, whether it's wrong or right.

no i'm just saying if you're drunk then part of the 'fault' is yours because if you weren't it might have been prevented. but no matter what i meant, i wasn't talking to you and i didn't ask you to attack my opinion.

why are some folks on here thinking it's evil to abort a baby?? :rolleyes:

 

most times, if you notice, 'abortion' as an option only comes up if either:

1) the baby got conceived while the couple were screwing around and didn't intend to have the baby; this happens most often to teenagers :rolleyes:

 

2) the baby got conceived and the 'dad' ran away or broke up the relationship for any number of reasons

 

3) rape

 

4) the family is poor and can't afford to raise the baby.

 

5) mom/dad has AIDS and is likely to be passed-on to the child

 

6) some other disease or pre-natal affliction to the child

 

In all these instances (can't think of others, but i'm sure there would be others too!), at least as far as I can tell, it would be MORE CRUEL to go ahead with the pregnancy and have the baby... 'cuz this baby will then suffer a really bad life for no fault of his/her.

 

 

Would you even think of having an abortion if you knew you wanted a baby or you really loooked forward to getting pregnant? :angry:

 

This WORLD is not all black and white, and neither is LIFE. Thus, it's best to allow the choice of abortion, and to rest it solely on the shoulders of the mother. Far too many kids have been born for no reason and have ended up with AIDS, with no dad, with a drug-addict parent(s), a bastard child, etc etc.

 

Why would the pro-lifers ever want such curses on helpless babies? :rolleyes:

 

Just think 'bout it....most often, it would be the case that mothers-to-be don't want the abortion. But for cases when it's really needed, I'd say...let it be!

In the first 14 days, as I recall, the baby isn't even an egg yet. It's obviously not even alive then, either. So how would you be murdering it? It's not even alive.

i think that it is ok only as the last resort and if the baby is definantly not at any means scientifically or literally alive. :/
