What are the social issues in your area/country? Any idea where these issues have arisen from?

 

For example in America, there are 2 main issues in my viewpoint, guns and terrorism (From terrorism stemming the media's reaction to it).

 

Where do issues like that begin?

 

It comes from a few things, the freedom to use guns and the media's constant scare tactics in reaction to terrorism causes people to jump for their guns.

 

And terrorism, thats completely the US governments fault. The WTC was a disaster but if your putting that into comparison (Which is hard to do when it comes down to real, innocent people's lives) with the amount of lives that the US government have taken, its nothing. I cant remember the exact statistic from this (Because its now 3 years since I heard it) but the US army fired a missile near a hospital in Afghanistan, which killed up to 30,000 people. Why wasnt that in the news?

 

Of course its fun for Rudi Juliani (Or however the fuck you spell it) and George Bush to talk about how strong the nation is, and how the New York Fire Deparpment is full of heroes, but what the Afghans did was in retaliation. Obviously it was clearly wrong, but what the hell are you gonna expect?

it's really effecting my farm. we're lucky. we haven't lost that much money because we produce milk but it's really effecting the beef farmers and our economy. that one cow has cost us tons of money.

i think part of the problem america has is that the bush administration has turned everything around so that being in constant fear of a terrorist attack is a bigger issue for most people than, say, the condition of our school system or inner city crime.
