Gas_Man
i like to wake up and see them...even though they scare me a little bit.. It's better going to the sea front to see storms...reminds me of old old age days
Professor Peedston
Seeing storms by the ocean is great. I think it's so neat how you can actually see them way out at sea but it's still sunny where you are. I guess you could probably see that some places that aren't by the ocean, but it's too hilly in this part of the country. :dozey:
Gas_Man
yeh.. i once was in Hastings in the south of England, and it was the best storm i've ever seen...lasted for 4 hours during the night, and my whole family got up and walked to the sea...wrapped up. It was a really atmospheric experience...but i can't fully describe it..<---- obivously :)

Professor Peedston
There were huge wind gusts and thunder and lightning and torrential dounpours here about half an hour ago, now the sun is out and the air is perfectly still. :dozey: Stupid summer weather. soleil
i really love storms. even when they're loud. i like the way it sounds. i even like how they scare me sometimes. :sneaky: the peaceful type of rain is good too. it's interesting how it rains differently in different places. in florida, it's usually torrential downpours and then total sunshine 15 min later. in illinois, it usually lasts the entire day. sometimes it'll be bad, but sometimes it's just drizzle. springtime is the best though.
