December 31, 200520 yr TAKK still hasn't settled well with me. Althought the songs were brilliant when I saw them live in Baltimore. I wish I could explain it, it just doesn't seem to have the same "touch" or perhaps craftsmanship that I feel in AB or ( )
December 31, 200520 yr what do you think about: Ba Ba Ti Ki Di Do ? to be quite honest, I never really paid much attention to it. I have it, and listened quite a few times. Nothing really ever caught my attention from it though.
January 1, 200620 yr i know it's not their best album(EP),but i would like to see another co-work with Radiohead, hopefully that'd be better
January 1, 200620 yr I've just started to get into Sigur Ros, mainly since joining this board and hearing lots about them. I think their music is stunning. Really individual, chilled out and quite haunting. Gives me goosebumps. I've never heard anything quite like it before. As for the band themselves, i know nothing; have never even seen a pic of them. I think they are from Iceland? Thats all i know! Can anyone give me any basic info? Cheers! :)
January 2, 200620 yr ^ good to see you here Steph ;) ,as far as i know,it's one of the best site about them, hope you'll find some interesting facts here: http://sigur-ros.co.uk/ ;)
January 2, 200620 yr Agatis Byrjun>TAKK>( )>Von discuss Mine would be: 1.Takk 2.Agaetis Byrjun 3.( ) 4.Von I can listen to Takk without skipping any of the songs. The album's got a lot more intensity compared to the previous ones. As for Agaetis Byrjun, I always tend to skip Sven-g-englar and Avalon. ( ) though, 1- 4 are fine, so is 8, but 5,6 and 7 are boring, those songs go on forever. And von, haven't listened to all the songs on the album yet. And those ones I heard I don't like them much either.

Yeah I know what you mean, I don't like Avalon or Sven-g-englar as much as the other songs but I think that certainly Agætis Byrjun has the best songs of the band which I love so much. ;) so mine will be: 1. Ágætis Byrjun (An alright start) 2. Takk (Thanks) 3. ( ) 4. Von (Hope)

January 16, 200620 yr Btw people, what are your favourite songs on Takk at this time? I like them all but these days I listen a lot to Gong, Heysátan and Sé lest. Awesome songs.
January 16, 200620 yr i don't listen to Takk now,i prefer Agaetis Byrjun in these days, but if i have to choose a song it will be Milano or Saeglopur
January 16, 200620 yr Never heard anything of them until this weekend when I took a chance and downloaded Hoppipolla and f**k me if it isn't one of the most profound and haunting pieces of music ever! I also downloaded the rest of the album but it is taking me longer to appreciate the other songs. Takk so far is becoming one of my faves! :D
January 16, 200620 yr ^ very good taste Ted  i think you should listen to Agaetis Byrjun as well, personally i think it's their best and if you like it as well get the rest too ;)
January 16, 200620 yr I finally discovered the studio version of "Gravity" off of the latest "Talk' single. I've also been getting into Sigur Ros lately. After seeing the Sigur Ros video, "Svefn-g-englar", I am a believer. People keep commenting on the outro to "Gravity" sounding like Sigur Ros. I started playing along to the "Gravity" outro one piano key at a time. Once I learned the basic melody I did my best at playing and singing along in my best Sigur Ros vocals. Playing and singing along to the "Gravity" outro gave me goosebumps. I haven't heard a Coldplay song song so good since I first heard "The Scientist". It reminded me that life is good. I captured what I could to record. Lance- Gravity outro http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4S8P35VQ Please supply your own Sigur Ros vocals and feel free to play a mean air piano as well. Thanks for listening!
