Church seems like a candidate for the next single. It sort of has an AHFOD production vibe. The only thing I can think of comparing it to is Birds (Don’t get me wrong though, it’s still much better than anything on AHFOD) Trouble in Town, I would love to see that as a single but I think the chances are next to nil. It’s not the type of tune that will ever get airplay on the radio lol unless there’s a radio edit with the voice sample removed. COTW is an album track for sure me thinks, could be wrong though!

I for one will still buy a physical copy, but it’s the bands own fault really because they sent the album out to people early.

There’s an interlude between the two half’s of the album. The other ones can’t really be described as interludes.. they’re like short songs or demos. The Voice samples are mostly in or at the end of the songs but they’re put to music and not on their own. Sunrise is classical like something from Viva, it can’t really be compared to LiT.

I think the stretch from Eko to Champion of the World is my favourite part of the album.

I’m sorry as a fellow Oldplayer, you can’t see this album the way I do :pensive: Jonny has some great lines here. Fair enough, it doesn’t sound electric like AROBTTH or X&Y but the acoustic segments here are great. I don’t know what more people could want, This is the album I’ve been asking for for ages. It wasn’t so long ago this band released an album called AHFOD.. and we all know what that sounded like... I’ll say no more.

Trouble in town / Because they cut my brother down / Because my sister can’t wear her crown / There’s trouble, there’s trouble in town! The lyrics of this song are amazing. Gives me a real AROBTTH vibe.

The fact that this album won’t be toured is crushingly disappointing. I would have loved to have seen that.

Orphans to me seems the odd one out on this album. It sort of breaks the flow, I know the band said it was meant for a different album and I think that’s really evident.

There’s different ‘Voice Memos’ of people talking over the music in certain songs, is the only way I could describe them

The intro to Trouble in Town is excellent, it just completely drags you in. The atmosphere transports you to the world of the song. Brilliant.

The snippets are one of my favourite things about this album, very experimental and something people thought Coldplay wouldn’t be capable of putting a bit of edginess into their music. Glad the band proved them all wrong.

Even more of a reason to get Sparks to the top.

The choice of songs given also seems strange to me. If you’re going to put Viva up there why not Yellow? ASFOS why not AOAL? Sparks is the odd one out on that list. The vote share for Sparks is going up though.
