I have been a member on this message board for 13 years. Sell outs...
I said it because we're only discussing about what the user said about Chris' voice and not the whole message. It's clear that the user shouldn't have said that thing, but I was only saying that I understand her feelings and I explained why I quite agree. My only intention was to make a constructive discussion :)

Chris never had such a great voice actually, the problems about CP's newest efforts are different. They lost creativity, lyrical deepness, artistical curiosity and originality. And I don't understand the people who says "they make a lot of people happy so you can't say they're getting bad", a lot of awful music make people happy, but it's not all about it (and thanks god for this). And if you wanna grow you have to learn to deal with constructive criticism or you'll always be limited. Said that, there are better ways to say the things we think about this discussion...

This is because he lost his songwriting abilities along the way, but I still think that it's their post-VLV best work. It has emotional intensity and a few good songs, especially Midnight that's their best "newplay" song imho

Their best collab could've been Lukas feat. Natale Imbruglia, why didn't they do that??? :(

This is my opinion about the SB performance... It's been translated from italian because I wrote it that way, hope it's clear... Well, there's nothing to do: they are like this, take it or leave it. They've always had this ability to incorporate all their influences into their music, putting a personal touch in it. Chris&co went artistically downhill with time, but apart from that they always manage to find great collaborators for their shows and, most of all, they are so humble they manage to adapt to every situation without having a bad performance. Maybe they're not the best band for the most pretentious tastes and they never manage to please everyone at 100%, but they always leave the impression they can deal with it. This was the most pompous occasion in their recent years and they made a balanced performance, picking at least a song from each album they released and giving importance to their whole discography in less than 10 minutes, leaving the rest of the time they were yielded to Bruno Mars & Beyoncé that are the kind of performers which this kind of crowd are more used to. My biggest regret is that they hadn't such an occasion during the VLV era, when they were a flawless band, and they had it in the downhill phase of their career. Said that, since this was the 50th SB and the organizers wanted and needed to blend past, present and future together, Coldplay was the best possible choice to make. However they're still the best cover band in the world

Coldplay: Connections with the Illuminati? (This thread not to be taken seriously)
I still prefer the good old days when they weren't exposed to this kind of rubbish... I'm not only talking about illuminati stuff, but also cultural appropriation and so on
