  1. It's reasonable to say that at the end of this year something will be happening, I actually also think that early next year would be a nice period to release new music. It has been said already; new music for a new decade. A Head Full Of Dreams' release was on the 4th of December, 2015. At the end of this year, on 4 December, it will be exactly 4 years since their last album release which is a pretty long time, especially for Coldplay because they always have a space of 2 mostly 3 years between albums. Let's not forget about Kaleidoscope which was released on 14th July 2017 of which we already knew a song (SJLT) before it was released again on the EP. I think we'll get at least some announcements or a very short audio/video clip just like they did with Adventure Of A Lifetime back in 2015 in order to announce a new song. I believe it was in November/October? Can't remember very well. Think it was in October. But on the other hand, it could be possible that they have decided to take a long break after their big A Head Full Of Dreams world tour. I mean really long, I'm thinking of 3 maybe 4 years. Which wouldn't be surprising at all. Why? Usually between Coldplay albums there's a gap of 2-3 years. Take a look; 2000 (P) - 2002 (AROBTTH) - 2005 (X&Y) - 2008 (VIVA) - 2011 (MX) - 2014 (GS) but then came AHFOD in 2015 which is basically just 1 year, to be more specific; 19 months (minus a few days) which is a really short period between 2 albums (at least it is for a big band)! Normally it would be something like this: 2000 (P release), 2002 (AROBTTH), 2005 (X&Y), 2008 (VIVA), 2011 (MX), 2014 (GS) and A Head Full Of Dreams' release in 2017. It would also make more sense. Let's say they did release A Head Full Of Dreams in May 2017 (3 years after the release of GS), they would be doing some tv performances/play smaller venues (2017-2018) and eventually do a tour (not per se in that order), if they had done something like this that means they could've been finished at this point (early or mid 2019). If that happened they could decide for going on a break for at least a year or a year and a half and that brings us to 2020, the year in which we can expect brand-new music! In short, I also think there's a (big) chance that they unfortunately won't release new music until next year.

  9. That'd be awesome. I'd bet that there are some (maybe not in their perspectives) brilliant songs of which they decided not to put on the album nor on Kaleidoscope sadly. In the meantime, there's been a lot of time in between their last release (K-EP on July 7th in 2017?) and if they would release some songs now. I think they might have thought that it's not worth the effort to release some B-sides or a few bonus songs that might not even do very well in the radio charts. But if they will release something, I would be looking forward to hear some new (old) AHFOD stuff!
  10. I'm sorry I Came Back did not came back :/ Life And All Its Enemies vs Y Marks The Spot
  11. Perhaps they have ideas for a new Christmas song (as well)???? Next December it will be 9 years since Christmas Lights was released. I can't believe it has been 9 years since I heard that track for the first time ever!!!! However, it would be really nice if they score a Christmas hit again at the end of this year, wouldn't it?!

  17. I'm in love with: How You See The World Thing's I Don't Understand Ladder To The Sun
  18. That would be very interesting. I'm not the biggest Muse fan but some of their songs are brilliant. For example: Starlight or Madness. I think Madness is their best song of all time. Chris once said this as well if I remember correctly. At least, that's the song they've used as a source of inspiration for writing Magic!
  19. To add something to it; I remember something that Jonny once said in an interview about his musical taste, namely: that he occasionally listens to jazz. I think think this was during an interview with the four of them in Japan. Found it. It was a really nice interview (that you probably have seen already) and shot in Korea, 2017. It's nice that they haven't done the interview with the four of them at the same time all together because who do you think would take the floor if he wishes? No 'love and togetherness' this time, well, not that I can remember. I genuinly think that Will, Guy and Jonny finally got the chance to speak without being interrupted by Chris. Here you can see what Jonny says about their musical preferences and how it's changed over the years. To be completely honest, jazz is a music genre that I don't really like at all. I hadn't expected that Jonny likes this genre of music until I saw this in 2017. We'll just have to wait and see how it goes and how it will eventually work out. Again, I think this is a really good interview, it might be the best of the AHFOD era IMO. You should watch it entirely if you haven't: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=sGIOKrYuWgQ;t=283 Just like Zero Theory said, all those different tastes of theirs is exactly what makes it Coldplay. I actually feel like that is truly the key to Coldplay's music.
  20. All of Jonny's guitars are really nice, he has a great taste for guitars!
  21. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=ERlTUckaX9Y;t=146 Chris goes a bit out of the rhythm and you can see Jonny had to adjust his solo which he did pretty well .... Holy moly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=0LwqTtZuQ9A;t=116
