  1. I didn't do that when I was at school either. I only ever did it if I forgot to do my French homework because our teacher used to get us to write an essay if we didn't do our homework so everyone always did it.
  2. I'm a teaching assistant and I mainly work with Year 10, 11 and the Sixth Form. I'm no expert when it comes to young children but I think playing games is a good way to get everyone involved. Younger children often get more motivated if they can win something [even if it's just points]. It might also be a good idea to make a mind map to get them to think about the topic. You could try to use examples they can relate to [like a video of a child that's about the same age as them] but I wouldn't ask them for their personal experiences because some of them might feel uncomfortable talking about it.
  3. ^ That's why our pupils get after school detentions. They have to copy out the school rules and they're not allowed to do homework.
  4. That Newcastle University want me to take an English test that costs £110. I phoned them and they said that my English was fine but I will have to take the test anyway because I didn't go to school in the UK. What a waste of money!
  5. I know! I felt like I didn't always prepare my lessons as well as I should have because I was busy with uni work so I was made up when she said I was doing really well! :)
  6. That's why I only buy smooth yoghurts/ fruit juice. I hate how in Switzerland they would never tell you on the label whether a yoghurt/ fruit juice had fruity bits. I clearly have a lot of food phobias. :uhoh2:
  7. ^ I've ordered one present so far. The head of department gave me a Christmas present today and she said she was very pleased with my work.
  8. Same here. Especially big ones.
  9. They're disgusting when they grow sprouts. I can't touch them.
  10. that I shouldn't bother spending time with people I've got nothing in common with
  11. If someone said similar stuff about people with smaller boobs you'd probably be offended. It's not like most girls have got big boobs out of choice. I'm not having a go at you by the way. It's just that I've heard these kind of things so many times and it really annoys me. Everyone has their preferences but there is no need to make people feel bad about themselves.
  12. She probably had a small back size so her cup size sounds way bigger than it actually is!
  13. Red Bull I had 3 cans of Red Bull and 2 cups of coffee today. Got my essay in on time but I can't sleep now and I'm meant to start another one tomorrow.:embarrassed:
  14. Christmas kinda makes me sad. I like everything about it but I can't say the actual day is nice. I really don't get on with my dad and I only see him once a year these days and it's always awkward. I can't not see him because this would mean I couldn't see my mum and I know she'd be really disappointed it I didn't spend Christmas with the family.
  15. I didn't know until they showed on the x factor that the finalists went to the premiere. I haven't seen any of the films either.
  16. Pupils sometimes like to make those things up. The Spanish assistant in a school I used to work allowed the girls to add him on Facebook. Apparently he liked a few of their photos and commented on one photo, saying it was nice or something so they accused him of being a paedophile. What he did was stupid but he had no idea that he could get in trouble for it. I'm not saying that's what happened in your school. I can understand that it freaks you out. He seems to be a bit of a weird [even if the rumours aren't true] but it doesn't sound like he's dangerous. I don't know what it's like in America but we would get in trouble if we'd hang around with our pupils after school. They keep telling us not to get too friendly with our pupils.
  17. Its freezing. We didn't get snow either. :( I could do with a snow day!
  18. I prefer waxing. My skin gets irritated when I shave.
  19. True! I think they should though, especially if they expect their girlfriend to wax or shave
  20. Well let's hope they won't get married on a Sunday...
  21. I agree I think guys should trim. Waxing or shaving would look strange.
  22. Google translate sometimes gives you sentences like that though. I [unfortunately] know it quite well because some of my pupils use it to do their homework.
  23. Its freeezing. And to make things even better, we ran out of gas tonight and the post office is closed. :embarrassed:
