  1. Sorry, I missed your post for some reason. A lot of them do contribute to British society. You don't really have a choice if you're a non EU citizen. You couldn't just come over and claim benefits. The British certainly didn't ask when they came to Zimbabwe. There probably wouldn't be as many people trying to come over if Britain hadn't conquered their countries in the first place. Anyway I don't think Africans should have less of a right to stay here than Europeans.
  2. Yeah but you were just lucky enough to be born in the right country. The desire to move to another country has nothing to do with agreements between countries. I'm not sure why you mention the standard of living here. Wouldn't it make sense to support someone who comes from a country that doesn't have the same standard of living even more if they try to find a better life here?
  3. So are Leeds, HISTORICALLY (well a club not a country obviously). But they're crap now. See my point?
  4. I understand you're an EU citizen and all but at the end of the day you just wanted to move to another country to have a better life there. Why would you want to stop other people from doing the same? The fact that their country doesn't have the same agreements with Britain doesn't make their intentions any worse.
  5. Howyousawtheworld, you are clearly very much against immigration. I know that a lot of British people are worried that immigrants take their jobs. Thing is it's not easy to get a job here if you're foreign. British people generally have a massive advantage when they apply for the same jobs.
  6. Isn't that like saying Leeds deserve to be in the Premier League because they've won things in the past?
  7. I haven't been to all of them and I live in the UK. I only know the North West and some parts of the North East really. I'd say go to the places you haven't already visited.
  8. I'd love to see Hamilton and Button at the same team. Shame about Brawn though. They said on Radio One that one of their drivers will have to be German.
  9. Some of those meals actually take quite long to prepare.
  10. I decided to take a gap year to go to the UK and my parents didn't want me to go. I found a job there (and I'm from mainland Europe so the flight wasn't expensive for me) so I went anyway! I haven't been back very often since. :laugh3:
  11. I don't have any tattoos.
  12. Where? This reminds me that I still need to find you a lambanana. I'll have another look when I'm in town, I promise!
  13. Happy Birthday! Hope you had a nice day.
  14. Nope but i can see why teenage girls like him. Oh and I don't get why people compare Olly to Robbie.
  15. I was talking about Olly.:)
  16. He's not even attractive! I just don't get it. Lloyd isn't a great singer but I thought he did alright this week. Pretty good song choice on Saturday. I know! He seems like a nice person but he really isn't. I don't like any of the judges apart from Cheryl. Dannii is extremely annoying at times.
  17. I'm surprised Olly wasn't in the bottom two. I thought his performance was rather disappointing this week. I thought Lloyd did alright yesterday. I don't think his song choice helped him tonight though. He must have been very relieved when Jaime didn't do very well either. And why the hell does Luis tell us who he's gonna vote for BEFORE he's heard them sing? We'll he didn't but it was pretty obvious, wasn't it? I'm actually starting to dislike him a lot.
  18. I don't enjoy reading e-books but they are useful for uni. Academic books can be very expensive and e-books are a good alternative if a book is taken out or if our library doesn't have them.
  19. Some do! Not everyone is that ignorant you see.
  20. I hate Facebook. I hardly ever use it but I checked it when one of my workmates asked me why I never accepted them as a friend. I had like 30 friend requests from my pupils. :shocked2:
  21. I didn't say they looked good! I only pointed out that this guy's statement is wrong. You wouldn't use this website if looks weren't important to you anyway.
  22. They don't really do that in mainland Europe.
