do you talk about things you actually have no clue about?
That sucks. I guess it's a bit different in a music shop because you should be able to give people good advice. Interest in the things we sell isn't necessarily the most important thing for us. One guy only got the job because he's Spanish which is very useful as we get a lot of customers form Spain.

Don't you have to do that though? I work in a shop myself and we're sort of expected to be knowledgeable about the products we're selling. Some people obviously aren't but they can't really admit that to customers. I guess you have to be more careful if you work in a music shop because you'll get a lot of customers who know a lot about the instrument you sell, whereas for us it's generally tourists that ask us but still... Anyway, I do find people like that very annoying. I just don't think you can blame the guy for what he did there. I'm VERY quiet around people I don't know very well even if I'm interested in the subject they're talking about. I'm sometimes worried that they think I don't listen because I don't say much. I do listen though, I'm just very shy.

What's the weather like today in your town?
It's snowing in some parts of Liverpool, not where I live though. I hope we'll get more snow overnight.

Rage Against The X-Factor
Right I need to check this then. I don't use Facebook very often so I never really bothered to change those settings. I was rather annoyed when I logged in the other day though. My friend showed me how to make sure that only friends can see your profile picture and information. Facebook asked me a few days ago whether I wanted to keep my old settings so I said 'yes'. Then I checked what my profile looks like to other people and it turned out that they changed my settings anyway.

Thanks, I'll block it then! I wouldn't even mind the actual invites but I keep getting email notifications.

Why cant people just stop this. I keep getting invites for the stupid Facebook group and it's getting really annoying. A few people said that they bought it like SEVEN times. Seriously how sad is that?

Why is there "diet" fruit juice??
Yeah. I don't really use it a lot either though. Teachers always use it to say someone's done well. Why not just say 'gut'?
-
Rage Against The X-Factor
I don't think it helps if people from outside the UK buy it.

Why is there "diet" fruit juice??
German teachers over here used it all the time. I don't think I've ever used it.

Applying to Universities is a drag
Yeah Manchester Uni's quite difficult to get in. I tried to get a transfer after first year. They first said they'd consider my application after they saw my transcript but they then told me there was no places on the course. :( I see what you mean. It's definitely gonna be a big change for you then, even Manchester's pretty far away and it must take forever to get home from Sussex or Reading. it can be nice to start all over again though. It was for me anyway.

Applying to Universities is a drag
I don't think you can apply for a PGCE through UCAS. The information was correct, you can only apply for 4. http://www.gttr.ac.uk/students/beforeyouapply/faqs/general/trainingproviders Good luck! Where do you wanna go?
-
Applying to Universities is a drag
It's only 4 for teaching according the leaflet I was given. I'm gonna check that now.

Applying to Universities is a drag
I'll have to apply again in a year's time to do teaching. I think I already know which universities I'm gonna apply to. I can only apply to four though which sucks. I have no idea what I'm gonna do if they don't offer me a place. :\
