fix you, then what if, and finally low or a message. white shadows, as i have said time and time again, will likely be an X&Y gem that won't be released so that us fans can keep marvelling over it. talk won't be a single, because, as much as it's definitely worth the airplay, it's gonna put them under major fire for not being original enough. square one won't be a single for the same reason, and also because coldplay had been contemplating making it the first single and decided not to......and a song like this is made solely to be an introductory song. and PLEASE people, PLEASE don't ask "why not swallowed in the sea, or X&Y?", because you don't have to be a genious to figure it out.

i love street spirit, that's not the point. what those fuckers at the radiohead forums have to realise is that coldplay ARE NOT simillar to ANY BAND in ANY WAY. they are unique, and have given the music industry something decent to hold on to in an era filled with bullshit. and most of them listened to X&Y with a closed mind, anyway. the only sensible people on that forum that actually said the new album was decent because they didn't listen while listing down the artists coldplay got ideas from have been drowned out by idiots who are just looking for excuses to complain.

Naw, after this I would say that they'll make What If, and Low singles. If we're really lucky, maybe they'll also release "A Message", but other than that, some songs will just be well-kept secrets.

the old talk sounded wayyyyyyy too poppy. the new version's bridge is fucking amazing, especially the part where the band rocks it all out right before chris sings the old corus. this album's the real deal, guys. there's no turning back now to the long-gone brit pop sound.

Square One, Fix You and A Message are the three songs that I already know will constantly be played on my CD. Oh, and I commend Coldplay for being able to fuse the styles from Parachutes and AROBTTH so well on the new album. I don't think anybody is gonna be dissatisfied this time.

Square One all the way. This is probably the most unique song Coldplay has ever made, and it's a true sign of how good they are at trying new things. Besides, I love songs like these which are solely used to ask the listeners "Are you ready?"

Fix You has been all but confirmed by the band as a single. Besides, forget Amsterdam, the lyrical content reminds me of Everything's Not Lost! :D

yeah but we've heard enough about the album and obviously we would've heard by now if the "other songs" are single-potential. besides, i was just replying to the kid who said maybe coldplay will surprise us with a song we haven't heard before and make it a single. which isn't likely.

The only songs Coldplay hasn't shown us yet are (correct me if I'm wrong) the title track, Twisted Logic, Swallowed In The Sea, and The Hardest Part. Twisted Logic, being the last listed track, and the apparent "heaviest", would most likely be to the album as A Whisper was to AROBTTH, so we can throw that out. We can also get rid of X&Y, the song, seeing as Coldplay have never selected a title track to be a single. This leaves us with Swallowed In The Sea and The Hardest Part. Of the two, I think that only the ladder has single potential, because this is the only song that has been acclaimed so far of these four songs. But most likely the singles chosen will be ones we've already heard.
