all muslims are not bad, in fact most don't want to hurt anyone. but no one can dispute what I have said in the introductory post. the quran clearly states that non-believers should be killed if they do not convert. at its core, Islam is a violent religion. not all of its followers are bad, but the religion sure is responsible for millions of deaths, isn't it? And don't give me this "all religions cause death". Islam is the only one that encourages the killing of innocents because they do not share your religion and will not accept it as their own.

Muslims do. In the name of their god. - Israel does not put high-value military targets and infrastructure in highly-populated civilian areas and use their civilians as human shields. Muslims do. Hizbollah does this in Lebanon as we speak. - Israel’s goal is not wipe Islamic countries off the face of the Earth. Muslims have no problem admitting they want every Jew dead. - Israel does not dress their children in suicide bomber costumes and teach hate to their children. I talked to someone who recently came back from Israel and visited towns near the Gaza Strip. Now mind you, Israel gave up the Gaza Strip as gesture of good will last year to the Palestinians, in the hope of peace. She said every day she was there, the Palestinians were firing rockets into Israeli towns, FROM GAZA!. Now, if you gave up a very important piece of your land as a gesture of peace, and then all you get is rockets fired into your neighborhoods as a result, I think you'd become a bit pissed as well. Israel is doing what they have to do to survive. It is not excessive. It is necessary.

In regard to Lebanon, I think the general sentiment is that Israel is bombing a fledgling democracy back into the stone age. Also, that Israel is targeting civilians with their bombing of Lebanon. There are a few problems with these opinions though: * Hezbollah operates out of Lebanon. The Israeli Air Force is bombing Hezbollah targets that have been constructed in civilian areas. Therefore, Hezbollah is guilty for putting Lebanese civilians in IAF crosshairs. * Lebanon has been under a U.N. Mandate for years instructing its government to rid its country of Hezbollah. It is not that they have not been able to do it, it is that they have chosen not to do it. - And to Berrywoman, my earlier comments regarding why that magnificent bridge and airport in Beirut were attacked was confirmed by a former U.S. General on CNN yesterday. FYI.

you are right up to the point where you talk about lebanon being bombed. the lebanese govt is mostly free from blame. hezbollah controls most of what goes on in lebanon. kind of like the taliban of lebanon. hezbollah is funded and directed by syria and iran. so in summation, Israel is retaliating against hezbollah in lebanon.

But Great Britain's reaction to the terrorist attack is quite different than say....the surrender monkeys in Spain. While they recoiled in fear and elected an Al-Qaeda appeasing government, the UK didn't back down....and is back to business as usual. And why is England so different in their reaction? Because they understand the enemy: Islamic terrorism. Day in and day out, throughout mosques in the Middle East, clerics preach death to countries in the West. Tony Blair knows this. That's why he has troops in Iraq, fighting in the war on terror. Just like here...Islamic terror can strike at any moment. Al-Qaeda is organized all over the word with one goal: to kill innocent Americans, Brits and just about anybody else who opposes their hate-filled, radical Islamic ideology. So now, on the year anniversary of Britain's somewhat smaller 9/11, people should take note of the enemy, because they're still out there. Too bad the Democrats in this country can't take a cue from their counterparts in the UK and take the war on terror seriously.
