the bridge and guitar eruption on the leaked Talk is one of Coldplay's most powerful moments. certainly a dissapointment that it wasn't released, but hey, most of what I heard from x&y was a dissapointment to begin with.

ATTN: RHCP HATERS! - They pioneered the funk-rap-rock genre, but each album has seen much progression and diversity. I can understand how one would think they sound similar if you listened to their singles alone, but listen to Cabron, Porcelin, or Sir Psycho Sexy and you will understand that they are a diverse-sounding band while sticking to the sound that they invented.

not a fan of the new single at all - it sounds like the beginning of a kid's game show on nick jr or something. blah.

I think Exploding Machines is my favorite, followed by Target, Nature's Law, and I Can't Come Down.

weird - the intro to the hamburg song at the wireless festival sounds just like the intro to their b-side Fly to Me.

i can't dissagree with the statement about x&y's "sheen" - def. hit the nail on the head with that one.

GPASUYF didn't chart that well but I think we all love it - it will be interesting to see how a song that many of us are impartial towards will do with the great unwashed.
