  1. Too soon for a best of, I think, but that's the one reason I would be all for it.
  2. So you've never actually bought the albums before? If you want good copies of the cds, that's going to be the best way to get it. EMI owns the copyrights. If you care about Kid A or OK Computer or whatever, you are ultimatly going to be either supporting or stealing from EMI in one way or another. The difference is that you are also going to be supporting a local record store (very important imho - too many of the good ones around here have gone bankrupt recently) and you will be supporting Radiohead. I mean the choice will always be yours. But if you have the money, have access to the albums, and want to get them, it's stupid not to just because Guy Hands is a twit.

Can I just copy yours? Other than name and place and such (and drums) you just described me almost perfectly. :stunned:
  4. :laugh3: Watch closely and listen carefully. In other words, turn your sound off and fast forward through it so nothing bad can happen. :P
  5. How many of their albums to you have already? I'd say if I had 2 maybe 3 or less I would get it for sure.
  6. Exactly... boycotting the evil empire means boycotting all of Radiohead's back catalogue as well. Kind of dumb, really.
  7. Most likely not worth it then, as that's about what hard-to-find magazines cost at the specialty news stands. ;) Didn't see it there when I looked a couple of days ago, but then neither was Q, which is usually there...
  8. ...but it's still Radiohead. I guess the way I see it is I resent the way it was released, but think it's awesome for someone who doesn't have much or any of their stuff. I mean, it's taken me a long time to get most of their albums, always waiting for Christmas or for them to go on sale because full price is pretty steep. To get ALL of their albums at once for a bargain... you'd still be buying the individual cds from EMI as well....
  9. That's... actually a pretty good idea for once, as long as it's handled well. One of the theatres here has started doing it with opera shows happening in New York, I think. It's a great idea for people like me who live too far away from normal concert hot spots to travel to big shows more than once every few years. Just as long as they realise it's not the same as a real live concert and never could be.
  10. I'd say I actually listen to a lot more of the top 2006 albums now than I did a year ago. Used the list to slowly get into quite a few bands.
  11. ^listened to that yesterday... good interview. I love how Thom says the guitar on Reckoner was him trying to sound like the guy from the Chili Peppers. :nice:
  12. Yeah, it was on the possibility list for a long time. Couldn't think of anything better. Kind of has a nice double meaning for me- it both describes my short attention span and my scifi/fantasy obsession. Plus it's been my msn name for so long that I'm kind of used to it. Random... I'm so used to logging in with Erin that I still do it unconciously now, and then wonder for a moment why it yells at me.
  13. What, and actually have a conversation with a point? Unheard of. :shocked2::laugh3:
  14. ^Same here. And I finally came up with something. :D
  15. You know, I'm really liking the having to buy two copies thing. My sister hates Radiohead. Can't stand them. But suddenly decided she likes 15 Step. I gave her my spare burned cd when I bought a proper copy the other day, and told her to listen some more before she judges it. She actually agreed. Forget the Bends, if you're trying to get into Radiohead, listen to In Rainbows first. It really is their most accessible album.
  16. I have it in .flac on my other computer if you're looking for a better copy.
  17. Sleep if I'm really really bad, spend hours playing computer games otherwise.
  18. Here's hoping that one ends up on bittorrent...
  19. Just started listening to these guys a couple of months ago. Love Bring 'em In. :nice:
  20. ^and compact florecent bulbs contain some very toxic and harmful chemicals when they are eventually disposed of... Just can't win.
  21. They have a ban like that coming into effect here soon too. Like the idea but it has me worried... what about people with migraines and SAD who need access to incandescent lighting?
  22. I think she might have something to say about that...
  23. Uh... no. Not when I was there at least. (They changed the uniforms since then, thank goodness.) We all used to have to wear this really cheap blue polyester- guys pants and girls kilts. It was nasty. Once, when my mom tried to iron the pleats on mine they melted. Seriously. The guys in my class used to slide down the hallways on their knees after they figured out that the friction would make the knees of their pants start to melt and get all shiny. When we graduated, some of the girls burned one of the kilts they were so glad to be rid of the horrid things. The flames were bright green. Not to mention they didn't fit unless you were built like a popsicle stick. For it to fit around my hips, it was huge in the waist, and the waistband would ride up around my ribcage every time I tried to sit down. Oh, and the sweaters used to be this eye wrenching bright red. Sorry for the rant. It's not something I have pleasant memories of. :laugh3:
