Radiohead
In Rainbows. Wow. It's been lp7 for so long it's kind of weird having a real name... :nice:

Radiohead
I find it endlessly amusing how everyone keeps going on about the tracklisting, when they seem to just be telling us a bit about what's been going on... which is what alot of people wanted to know in the first place... heh. Good to finally hear something, anyway. And they have a song with the TARDIS in it! :cheesy:

Heroes Season 2 *Contains Spoilers*
Ooh... better than Lost? Tough call. I'd say I love both equally. They're very similar in some ways, and different in others, but both very, very good. Heroes has managed to avoid some of Lost's mistakes so far, but it's also only had one season so far. Let's put it this way: there are three shows I'm obsessed with- Lost, Heroes, and Doctor Who. Of the three I'd say Doctor Who is my favorite- it's the funniest and most fun (and I have a massive crush on David Tennant, but that's another story....)

And so it comes to this...
Kid A is the best by far... it's like a piece of art- single, complete, perfect. But OK Computer is my favorite. I just really like the way it sounds.

Heroes Season 2 *Contains Spoilers*
Very cluttered first episode, but it looks like we're in for an interesting future... That little girl is a frighteningly good actress. Quite the long game Mohinder is going to be playing...eep. So how long before Hiro becomes the Kensei guy himself?... Or the Bennets slip up? Or Peter gets his memory back? Or they find out who that evil guy is? Is the one in the girl's pictures the same one making death threats? Can't wait for next week.

'One in 10 girls has STD linked to cancer by 16'
This debate is really getting on my nerves. Both the larger public one and here. So hypothetically if a woman chooses to go the abstinence route, gets married all that stuff- ideal situation in some peoples opinion, protects from all sorts of things- and only after the wedding she finds out her husband had been sleeping around behind her back, it's then her fault if she dies of cancer years later, and it was just for her not to get the vaccine because it made sure she stayed a virgin. Of course not. On either count. There is a problem- a potentially deadly one. Now there is a very simple solution that will help. Life and love are complicated, the world isn't divided into good girls and sluts, and I find it offensive that people are debating girls lives and health that way. What the question should be is "how safe is this vaccine"? Now there's a much more interesing debate that's going on right now. Interesting that everyone posting in this up till now has been a guy...

NEW STARS ON COLDPLAY.COM
"42"! :D Douglas Adams strikes again! :nice: I really want to hear what "Rainy Day" sounds like. Not sure about some of the titles... "Cemeteries of London"?! But of course they could just be temporary working titles to throw us off... or they could make alot of sense when you hear the song.

I FINALLY saw Breakfast At Tiffany's for the first time. It was quite odd and not exactly what I expected, but I really liked it. 8/10

Chris Martin to perform on VMA!
Now that would be worth watching, if true.

:ReN:
Good to hear from you Ren, glad you're alright. It's weird, the first thing I though of when I heard about it was "I hope Ren is ok!"

That wouldn't explain some of my American cousins and friends.

What brands do you swear by?
Ever since I studied marketing for a while, I've never been able to stand brands at all. Seeing how branding works just completly turned me off of it. I'll go with what works, but I try to leave the label out of it (it's virtually impossible to escape completly). The thing that really bugs me about it is that so many brands are bought up, swapped around, contracted out and so on that you can't count on it really having an identity beyond the label at all. Just look at the tainted pet food scandal... all those different name brands... all getting some of their food from the SAME third party company. And it didn't matter if it was discount brand or gourmet food either. Branding as we know it today has to be one of the most subtle, insidious, pervasive forms of brainwashing known to man. And the annoying part is that it works. :disappointed:

Why girls are into "pink"!!
Hm. My favourite colours are blue and then green. I'm rather obsessed with blue, actually. And I absolutely, totally, and completely LOATHE pink. Oh, and I know plenty of girls who feel the same. So much for that research. :dozey:

Becoming Jane 9.5/10 Oh. My. Word. That movie is so beautiful. Not entirely true or factual, but still amazingly done.

Magazine Question
I mainly only read their website, but I quite like Chart magazine. It's Canadian, but they cover a lot of British and American stuff too, and I'm pretty sure you can get it in the States. http://www.chartattack.com/ Other than that, the Brits seem to have all the good or at least decent music magazines. Pity the NME kind of suck... I've never heard of anyone else quite as intensive as them.

What Was The Last TV Show You Watched?
Let's see.... Doctor Who, Doctor Who, House, Doctor Who, Doctor Who, Doctor Who. Which would pretty much make this the summer I became a little bit addicted to Doctor Who. Pity I lived on the wrong continent to watch it as a kid.

Coldplaying is dying. O.o
It's summer, it's the long end of forever since the last album... there's been no major new music releases to talk about, nothing much on tv, and certainly nothing happening with my life, anyway. I'm still here every day, but I don't stay long when nothing's happening... :( And getting punned after every post has a way of disrupting conversation and making a person not want to bother to post... It'll pick up come September, I'm sure. ...AND before too long there will be a new album and a whole new wave of hyper bubble-headed noobs to go with it, so enjoy some peace while you can.

Vital advice for girls ... or simply smut?
Based on personal experience, it's amazing how much your self image can improve when you stop reading teen/fashion/women's magazines. It's like they were written to give you an inferiority complex and body issues.

Doctor Who ???......
Well I finally saw the Christmas special- I hadn't even known that there was a second one, so I missed it when it was on tv here. Donna is such a funny character (funny odd, I mean) you want to shake her or thwack her or strangle her or do something to make her wake up, but then I ended up really liking her at the end. There's a lot of character to develop there. And she and David Tennant have such a great rythm going between them- they seem to be able to play off of each other in really interesting ways. Like, how is Donna going to react to the Ood? Can't wait to see that one. So I may not have a clue who Catherine Tate is, but I'm cautiously optimistic. Still would rather have Martha, though. I'm really, really liking her.

The Tour De France 2007 Official Thread
Ugh. :disappointed: This is why I didn't want to talk about the Tour this year, even though I still follow it very closely. Couldn't handle everyone going on about doping instead of what was happening. Now it looks like a couple of idiot riders are trying to destroy the tour themselves. :veryangry2: I mean how desperate do you have to be to take a transfusion (with all it's risks) when it's obviously going to be caught? And now Rasmussen's been acting like a pighead.:veryangry2::veryangry2: At least that French guy had the decency to admit wrongdoing- pity it means that Cofidis is out too. Personally, I think it's a sign that things are actually changing- that a team would throw themselves off the tour because of lying, with no actual proof that there was doping, and that having the yellow jersey with a good chance of still having it in Paris would make absolutly no difference. I hope the change is not too late for the tour. On a completly different note, have there been any updates about how O'Grady is doing? He's been one of my favorites for years, but being Austrailian, I haven't heard anything since the day of the crash. I hope he's ok. I've seen my dad crash one too many times to have anything but nausea when there's a bad crash like that. Even worse when it's a favorite. :( :worried:

What are you thinking right now?
Can't wait for the next episode of Dr. Who, don't want to download, and the spoilers are all over the net. I'm beggining to understand what the rest of the world goes through waiting for new episodes of US shows.
