Well I'M glad they won, I still think it's an awesome album. Listen to it all the time. Though I was rooting for Thom Yorke. And for that matter The Editors... and Muse... and Hot Chip... and... let's put it this way... I listened to all of the nominees this afternoon, and there wasn't a single one that was the WRONG choice... they were all equally amazing in different ways. I just wish I could have seen the ceremony.- The next film which God aka Peter Jackson will film is...

I think my favorite song changes every week or so. At the moment it's There There, but Street Spirit and Lucky are up at the top of the list too... I know the first song of their's I ever heard was Just, years ago when my brother showed me the video for it- I think it was the first music video I ever watched, actually. I still adore the song, but it was sort of a dissappointing first video to watch, because I've never seen anything as good since, and probably never will.- ...
Hey before you're off, thanks for doing this! I was hopeing you'd get to it. Now I get to show off my embarrasing levels of musical ingnorance. Hooray! :laugh3: Man, this is going to take awhile....- The next film which God aka Peter Jackson will film is...
No, because unlike LotR, two rival companies own different parts of the filming and distribution rights for the Hobbit, so even if he managed to film it, he wouldn't be allowed to let anyone watch it. Very, very annoying. check here: http://www.thehobbitfilm.com/- The official **KEANE** thread
I'm pretty sure Oasis started it. Besides, if you're British and you have an album out within about a year of Oasis, you're probably going to be insulted by them. Personally, I'd take it as a compliment. It means you've gotten big enough to be brought to their attention. Unfortunatly for Keane, they seem to have a bit of surprising competitive streak that keeps them from seeing the humor in it all.- The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
 Thank-you Thank-you Thank-you Thank-you! :D- Radiohead
There are always afew people like that around... certain Nickleback/3 Doors Down fans in particular come to mind... :dozey: See there are two possibilities there... either they haven't actually listened to any of Radiohead's other stuff, and are really stupid for making a statement like that in complete ignorance, OR, they have listened and are too stupid or set in their ways to get it. Either way, they're just being stupid. Don't pay attention to them. Water off a duck's back and all.- Show Us Your Pets!!!

Jonny takes such beautiful atmospheric pictures. They seriously mess with my head, though... is the first one a reflection or a double exposure?- You've "bin" bugged!!
gah...double post.- You've "bin" bugged!!
Anti-terrorism. No doubt. :laugh3: Actually on second thought... with the way governments work, it will likely have to become a problem before they bother to do anything. Guess the first person who tries gets to find out.- You've "bin" bugged!!
So if you know where it is and what it looks like, why not just have the bug "conveniently dissappear" if you're worried? Or are there already anti bug-vandalism laws in place?- 1 million sex crimes by illegals
:dozey: Crazy American fear mongerers... A couple of facts for you... sex offenders occur more as a percentage of any given group of people. Start deporting American citicens and you can reduce sex crimes even further. Plus, seeing how your average North American isn't so interested in reproduction these days, you NEED immigration just to keep the status quo population-wise. I have some major major issues with this sort of mentality- I think the issue is a tiny piece of some much bigger issues... but I don't feel like arguing tonight. Maybe tomorrow.- The official **KEANE** thread
Wow. Good luck to him- I hope he gets things sorted out. Suddenly some of their songs make so much more sense... "You've wandered so far From the person you are Let go brother, let go Cos now we all know"- Undivided attention is overrated.
Heh... I'm EXACTLY the same way. I need to draw to pay attention, because if I look at the teacher, my ADD kicks in and my mind starts to wander. It kind of freaked out some teachers in highschool, though in many classes we took so many notes that writing worked just as well. Thankfully in college most profs don't notice when I draw. It's funny to look at my notebooks from classes with lots of lecturing but few notes... I've hardly written anything but there are pages and pages of doodles.- your own cover
:nice: :laugh4: maybe I'll get one together eventually, but I don't have a clue what to put on it.- Country's not bad
Ugh. Bad pop with a twang. At least about 99% of the stuff that makes it onto the radio, anyway. But yes, there is the occasional bit of real brilliance- a great song is a great song, no matter what the genre.- Villeneuve slates Schumi 'lies'
Michael IS a living legend. He's broken almost every record that there is and has utterly dominated for over a decade- longer than an era in F1, really. He'll not be forgotton anytime soon. I can't stand him myself, for the very reasons JV pointed out, but I don't think that changes anything- before his death I hated Senna too, to be honest, though I was probably too young to make that judgement very rationally. As for Jaques, well, he's just being Jaques. It's what I both love him and hate him for. He says what many people think but few admit to, which will always ruffle feathers. A bit of poetic justice to it really, he came into the sport as a bit of a punk, he's leaving the same way, and he never compromised who he was that way. He never wore the sort of carefully constructed glossy veneer a certain other champion has enshrouded himself in.- search your username
188 :o er... are we supposed to search by post results or thread results? Cause with thread results it's just 88. Which isn't sooo scary.- Your favourite 5 bands at the moment... in no order are...
Ah... too hard... and it changes constantly. Oh well, here goes (and yes I can count, I just can't choose) Coldplay Radiohead Sigur Ros Muse Snow Patrol Oasis Arcade Fire White Stripes- Has Hollywood lost 'its thread'?
See, there's the other big part of the problem right there. The real creativity so rarely comes up to the top that it gets reused to death almost instantly. Not only were the Matrix sequels not that good, but the stuff that left you in complete awe from the first movie had be so overused in the following years that is just seemed stale by the time the sequels came around. The original Matrix is still my all-time favorite movie, though. :D- Your favourite flowers
