what is your favourite tv channel?
Space :) (Canada's sci-fi channel) ...or at least it used to be once upon a time back when they showed Babylon 5 all the time... don't watch tv much, actually. Don't get VH1. :(

9/11 - The Inside Job **NEW INFO & UPDATES WHEN THEY HAPPEN**
What's with the either/or poll? Gives me the impression that whoever doesn't think that the government is wholely responsible are deluded fools. Governments never tell the whole truth... never have never will... would cease to function if they did... they're also too big and unorganized to pull off the giant conspiracys they get accused of.

Top Chaplin Slams Chris Martin's False Accent
Well, if you listen to Chris chattering on some of the oldest bootlegs out there, the accent does sound a little different, but in a good way... he got rid of some sloppier habits that made him sound like he had a bit of a lisp or something, sounds more neutral now. I had always figured it had come from being married to an American, actually. Don't see why it would be any ground to be critical...

Is Gwyneth's Girl Set For Stardom?
Chris can be insanely dramatic... he'd still make a bad actor, though. It both cracks me up and scares me how the tabloids are already planning the lives of the hollywood kids... who will end up with who, who will get into what...

Ode to mooseheadsfan and Briggins
Congratz on the 4000, Briggins... ...but do you have any clue how surreal it is to come on here and see you randomly talking about my neighbours? This is the first board I've been on where there's really even been another person from around here closer than Truro...

Who is your favourite player in the world cup?
Rooney... I hope he's ok...

I know nothing about footie
I don't really know much about teams or players or anything. Basically, I started out with the knowlege that if the ball went in the net, it was a goal. It's still fun to watch even with that level of cluelessness. Anything beyond that I learned from watching them play and listening to what the commentators said, and especially from playing soccer on my brother's Nintendo. Any sport takes time to pick up.

Funny yet Disturbing World Cup AD
 uhh....

I'm sooo scrrewweeedddd
Heh... story of my life. When you really need help looking for something, ask but be diplomatic. "Mom, did you see my ___ around?" "No, why?" "Oh, I missplaced it and haven't found it yet. It ought to be around here somewhere... just wondering-don't worry (*yet* )" And then she doesn't freak out for having lost it...because I make it sound like by asking her I'm only trying to save a bit of time. It'll turn up... just try to remember the places you used it last.

Man charged in Lost hostage case
No, not a fan from what I've heard, just a random burgler... Edit: A "meth-head" actually: this is from an interview Josh Holloway did awhile ago- you can find the whole thing here: http://www.lost-media.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1890&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0 "Home. That’s where most of the Lost loot has gone: into renovating their surprisingly non-gargantuan three-bedroom house. Some new paneling, some carpet, a Balinese gazebo next to the fire pit. Of course, the latest add-on—a high-tech, four-camera security system—wasn’t in the plans until last October, when a meth-head broke in armed with a 9-mm and robbed the couple. He got $35. “I wanted to say, ‘You want cash? Ask my fucking contractor, you piece of shit! Look around, you dick.’” If Holloway still seems raw, it’s because he spent most of yesterday in a police station identifying the crook. The cops had just nabbed him; front page of the paper. “It’s hard to deal with, as a man,” he says. “Totally punk’d in your own home? I feel like I didn’t protect her. That feeling doesn’t go away.” Thus, the alarm system. The cameras. “And,” Holloway says, “a few other tools.” Other tools? “Yeah,” he says, leaning back in his chair, cocking the cigarette like a gun. “You know . . . other tools?” "

Favorite Canadian Band...if you have one
- Are you interested in the World Cup?
It was in America? :shocked2: Guess that proves your point...- Did you know snails are territorial?
I thought you meant territorial as in this is my territory and no other snail can come here. It makes sense, though... most creatures no matter what the size have what they consider to be home turf.- Are you interested in the World Cup?
I have cable so I can watch it, but here you have to get the special sports channels. Fact is, in North America (outside of Mexico anyway) Soccer really isn't much of a big deal. Most people here just don't care. I was telling my cousin about it yesterday, and I mentioned something about how the crowds sing. He thought I had lost my mind- he just couldn't understand it. Ha! :laugh3:- msn messenger
MSN Almost everyone I know uses msn, except for all my cousins down in the States, who all use AOL... :freak: None of us want to bother using the other program, so we just never talk.- What are you thinking right now?
6 hours... not fun- unless it was, of course. After hurricane Juan we lost power for over 3 days!- Are you interested in the World Cup?
World cup is about the only team-based sport I ever watch. Go England! :D- What are you thinking right now?
Fine... I'll go do the stupid laundry! :P *grumble*- What are you thinking right now?
Well you guys wouldn't let me forget again! (for now at least)- What are you thinking right now?

Thanks, Sally... Silverstone it was... if that doesn't count as stranger things, I don't know what does.- The official Formula One Thread 2006
:laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3: I suppose I'll cause trouble that I don't want with his fans on here if I agree with you, but...- What are you thinking right now?
Yeah, well I was supposed to do the laundry this weekend, but as always I forgot to. Now the weekend will be over in about 2 hours, and because it's been raining for the last week or more, I've pretty much lost almost all will to live, so I'm not going to go do it. Does that clear it up any? Sheesh all this over one random comment. :laugh3:- The official Formula One Thread 2006
Stranger things indeed. What race was it that Schumi suddenly broke his legs at mid-season afew years ago? - Are you interested in the World Cup?
