imaginative journeys... helpppppp me!!!
Bonita- did you ever decide on anything? Sorry I'm curious. I just got reminded of this because I want to take a creative writing course next year, and we have to turn in writing samples before we can sign up. I love writing stories, but I haven't actually finished anything in years- *gulp* So now I'm the one who has to start from scratch! I'm Probably going to do somthing about a closet that eats people... but I'll see...

Sentimental Posessions
I know what you mean... I don't have the attention span to keep a diary, and I'm an out of sight out of mind sort of person, so I have 3 or 4 big storage bins and dozens of shoeboxes full of stuff all jammed under my bed. It's the only way I remember alot of stuff. The objects bring it all back.

I think trends just worked like that... for me, in second grade it was clackers (those balls on a stick that you swung around and they make a clicking noise) in third it was snap bracelets, in fourth and fifth it was soothers and troll dolls, in fifth, sixth and seventh, it was pogs, and after that it was devil sticks for awhile. Thankfully, after that I was old enough to miss out.

:) Yep... don't know why I held on to mine... just to bug my kids with "this was the stupid sort of thing we did when I was your age", I guess.

how to get it off???
Well I'm not much help... I just tried not to think about him (with varying success) until several years later when he graduated from highschool and got married. That kind of put an end to things.

Sentimental Posessions
I'm a complete and total packrat- I have an entire room full of that kind of stuff... movie tickets, stuffed toys, old posters I'm never going to look at again, useless junk from all of the places I've travelled including rocks from most of them, pogs, clackers, marbles, you name it.

Somebody I know got arrested for making a bomb...
I thought that finding creative ways to make things explode or burn things was some sort of childhood rite of passage or something. You know, the whole "Whoa COOOOL" factor... like whenever they blow things up on Mythbusters. But yeah, the neonazi loner making a pipebomb thing is scary. Good thing they caught him if he was really going to do any damage. As much as 9/11 was such a turning point, Columbine is equally branded into my memory...

Favorite Classical Piece?
Oh, Dad can't stand that I listen to any form of rock music at all- I think he was just happy to find something classical (well, romantic actually) to distract me with. I think he just recognized what piece the solo was taken from, or the style at least. Heh... the chorus in space dementia is straight out of a Rachmaniniov piece too...

Favorite Classical Piece?
Smetna - The Moldau Holst - The Planets My dad heard me listening to the piano solo in Muse's Butterflies and Hurricanes recently and dug out some Rachmaninov- really like it. And there's this one movement in one of Beethoven's symphonies that I like. It sounds really different from everything around it. Wish I could remember what it was. Edit: I found it: Beethoven's 7th Symphony, 2nd movement. Very dark, very powerful, and very beautiful... I still can't believe the guy heard all this music in his head! Oh, and one of the best concerts I've ever seen (modern or classical) was a production of Handel's Messiah- you really can't appreciate how much depth his style of music has until you hear it live.

I know a couple of people who want to take over the world. Perhaps you guys could share notes. Though you'd probably be better off watching Pinky and the Brain reruns...- Sweden v. England
I saw Cole's goal- it was great. :) I just wish that they would stop showing Owen's accident in slow mo over and over... I was nearly sick the first time I saw it. Poor guy.- I'm leaving
If you're going where I think you're going, and half the stories that I've heard from former counsellors are true, you're going to have a blast! :nice: A very exhausting blast, but still a blast.- = In Process =
Now I'm really curious what this was about. :S- COLDOLAY...anyone???
Gotta love engrish...- Arctic Monkeys!

Bummer.... ...so what is the drought at now? 13 years? Good game, though... they deserved it.- The official Formula One Thread 2006
Ha! :) well that explains it. I miss Murray especially all his Murrayisms. But if you don't think that James Allen is all that great, well, you've obviously never had to listen to the dimwitted American guys on the Speed channel over here before. Allen sounds like a genius after those dweebs.- Gwyneth who?!
If everyone was able to think rationally, we wouldn't have to worry about things like fame and celebrity. I think alot of people like Chris and the Coldplay guys because they have a funny sort of down-to-earthness that defies that crazy sort of celebrity culture they've been swept into. To try to drag that celebrity factor into a fan's thinking would really cheapen their appreciation of Coldplay for alot of people, so you can hardly blame them if they do feel a bit defensive. - The Importance of Clothes
