  1. I think it's an amazing song, and I've listened to it a lot already. But, I do see that the direction Coldplay are taking are not too everyone's liking. Frankly, they're not too mine either - I would have loved Coldplay to become a lot more darker after X&Y (my favourite Coldplay album), and write more songs like Amsterdam and A Rush Of Blood to the Head with X&Y style production, and VLV was a huge disappointment for me. But MX is shaping up to be much better in my eyes.
  2. I like it - very catchy, and I can see this being quite a popular song globally. Yes, it's not as meaningful as songs from the AROBTTH/Parachutes era but it's still fantastic! For anyone whining that it's too poppy - we know we have awesome classic Coldplay tracks on there, especially Charlie Brown, and it makes sense for Coldplay to release something more mainstream as a single. I think sadly the people with negative opinions are much more vocal than those with positive.
  3. X&Y is my absolutely favourite Coldplay album. So the more it's like that the better.
  4. It's pretty good, and would be way higher if they removed that stupid effect on Chris's voice, but I give it a 6. Much, much prefer ETIAW and Moving to Mars over this, even though I loved it from the live versions :(
  5. Absolutely amazing song...weren't too sure about the mega mega low voice at the beginning but wow.
  6. Amazing song but wish they'd just leave Chris' voice!
  7. Every single one off the new songs from Coldplay sound amazing - ETIAW, Hurts like Heaven, Major Minus, Princess of China, Us Against the World, Cartoon Heart...just epic
  8. Exactly, all the new material (including ETIAW!) is fantastic - to be honest I didn't feel like this for VLVODAAHF, I was sort of indifferent to the songs...but these songs instantly took a hold on me and I can't get enough of them!
  9. I'm really, really baffled by everyone's negativity towards it. Sure, it's very radio friendly, but it's also bloody fantastic. Very uplifting and happy, which in my eyes is a good thing. Don't get me wrong, I love my For You/Scientist/Everything's Not Lost Coldplay but ETIAW is one hell of a song
  10. Wow, amazing song! Listened to it over 10 times already but it gets better and better. Feels like an eternity since I heard a new Coldplay song :) Guys what is the deal with the video/boat ride? Were some of you guys on that boat?:o
  11. Wow...from the short preview I really love it. Took about 2 plays for me to realise how awesome it was. Come on Wednesday :)
  12. Listening to Fix You tonight...brings back so many memories. 2-3 years ago I was really depressed, and used to to walk 4 miles to Uni every morning (leaving at 6am) in the pitch black, I used to always listen to this song on the way :)
  13. I might be alone in wanting a really dark album. I absolutely love the epicness sound of Politik, and the haunting melodies of Amsterdam. I'd love for them to make more songs like that. But, whatever they put out I'm looking forward to. Whether it's like any of the previous 4 albums, or something new entirely, I'm sure I'll love it :)
  14. I saw the Trouble video on TV when it was released, and thought that was pretty bad. Then a friend of mine sent me 'The Scientist', and I thought that was awful too, until I listened to it properly. Now it's possibly for my favourite song ever. Since then I've listened to all of their albums, B-Sides and eagerly awaited X&Y and VLV. Now I can't wait for their next one :)
  15. I'm not a huge fan of the song (although it is growing on me :D), but it's 100 times better than the manufactured rubbish that X Factor churn out each year.
  16. Death and all his Friends from LeftRightLeftRightLeft, amazing :)
  17. As long as it's by Coldplay I'm happy :) I'd love it to have a heavier sound though, like Politik and Square One.
  18. Careful Where You Stand :) "Black trench coat"
  19. How You See The World (X&Y Version)...Amazing!
  20. I think everything about X&Y was fantastic. I still remember the summer of 2005 - I don't a day went by where I didn't listen to the album, and I think it's my favourite. I really disagree that The Hardest Part should have been left out, I think it's really great - a bit 'poppy', but the crescendo at the end is awesome :)
  21. Are you a frigging idiot? This is the COLDPLAY forum...
  22. Lovers in Japan (osaka sun remix)! Also addicted to watching the video, it's amazing, love the spinning :D They are turning my head out!
  23. Rainy Day...same as above, but prefer the others.
