Not sure. It'd also be nice if they released the first single as an EP, but I'm like 100% certain that wouldn't be the case.

This may be a bit off topic, but what kind of music do you think will be on here? If it's there most experimental, could we expect something kind of like Dream Theater (obviously not that complex, almost nobody can play, or even more write like them) in terms of having solos or guitar riffs that are a bit more complex? Or maybe a Guy/Will solo? I'm just wondering, because one of my friends hates Coldplay, they're more into the electronic and Rock fusion/Progressive rock kind of thing. If Coldplay makes a song with a prog. rock sound, I'd love it as well!

I agree about his voice. I watched the live version of What If, and it was almost exactly the same as the studio version from literally 6 years earlier... However, I wish that we got his Viva hair back, and his Clocks voice back...

Personally, I feel that Clocks is a love song... If you listen to the songs in order of the album, I see it like this: In My Place (He makes a mistake and is pushed away from his love,)then GPASUYF (he gains self-confidence that he doesn't need his love, and is slowly spiraling down emotionally,) then The Scientist, (he tries to apologize,) and then Clocks (Explaining what he was saying in the apology, followed by "And nothing else compares/Home, home, where I wanted to go," where his apology gets accepted and he stays with his love,) then Daylight afterwards (he says he's nothing in the dark, referencing his state in The Scientist and Clocks, and his love brought him back out by accepting his apology.) Politik in the beginning is sorta a gateway to see the relationship's current problems as the album starts (he wants time for them to kiss, showing they are already drifting apart a bit, and he says "give me strength, reserve control," because he felt his love had too much power over him and he wanted that to be resolved, further proven by "Open up your eyes/And give me love over, love over, love over this") It's kind of like an alternate timeline of Parachutes... Or maybe the first 3 albums are different perspectives of the relationship and how it broke apart and/or joined together...

I have a feeling Jonny's going to be even better in this album... Every single album he sounds better for some reason...

Yesterday I was reading about how Chris traveled to Jerusalem very very recently, and I read something interesting... "Martin has visited Israel in the past in an attempt to set up a Coldplay concert that would be accessible to both Israelis and Palestinians... ...Reportedly, Coldplay has touring commitments for the next two years, so it doesn’t seem likely the band will play the concert he dreamed of here anytime soon." Does this mean that we could possibly get the new album this year? I'd love to know your thoughts on this. I love it and many other people do, but not much about it is out there, and when I tried searching it on these forums, I couldn't find anything... I was just wondering about this, as Coldplay seems to have gone back to taking a bigger break that they took between releasing their best albums instead of that year break between GS and AHFOD. Another thing that has me thinking about this is the fact that Chris has obviously gone through a ton of things since AHFOD got released, and he could write songs about those topics. Honestly, there could be some loss of hope, as they are supposed to hatch something new, but what do you all think, or what are some details I missed?
