  4. Wow, thanks for the interview! I've never seen this before!
  5. BABY, WE WERE BORN TO RUN!
  6. The second disc is ok. The documentary is fun, but it's only a half hour long. You could probably live without it. I haven't really watched the surveillance cuts, they were grainy (well, obviously) and kinda boring. If you don't really care about those things, just get the regular one. The concert is really all you need.
  7. I LOVE SNOW DAAAAAAAAAAAAYS
  8. And darlin', darlin' stand by me. Oh now now stand by me. Stand by me, stand by me. *grooves*
  9. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D My Karma worked!!! That's so awesome, you're gonna have the best time of your life, I'm jealous already ;)
  10. I feel like I'm losing credibility as a respectable woman each time my ears hear 'My Humps'. Ewwwwwwwwww.
  11. At 10:50 PM, Eastern time, I'll be honoring a 10 minute moment of silence in memory of this great, great man. I can't fully describe the impact John Lennon has had on my life. The morals that he's helped shape for me. What I've gained as a person from learning of his life experiences. I just can't fully articulate that. I did, however, recently write something in my journal that I truly believe in. If you want, you can read it: "I had a horrible day dream/nightmare at the [u2] concert. Envisioning something horrible happening to Bono as he spoke of AIDS awareness. As he spoke of John. I never want something like that to happen. To anyone. Not anymore. I don't want people to die by violence. That's not what we're here on earth for. We're not here to die, we're here to live, aren't we? All prescribed values pushed to the sides, we are not on this planet to kill. And it has to stop. I refuse to have children, and I never will, as long as there is violence in this world. This isn't political (as so many misconcieved John's message, although elements were). This is a social change we need. Instead of embracing the violence in things, the strange lust we feel when we see the color red, or a car in flames, we need to embrace new values. Values that make us all care about our neighbors, no matter how far away these neighbors live. Make us work for them, and them work for us. Values that teach us not to have such random hate applied to faceless strangers. Values that take us away from guns, and bombs, and fire, and knives, and chemical weapons. It would be a better world. John Lennon would live on. He's dead right now. Nothing he preached worked. It worked for some of us, to apply to our personal lives. However, unless things are realised on a greater, higher level, John Lennon's true message will remain scattered like his body's ashes. John Lennon said that he was a violent man, who learned how not to be violent. If only we could all do this. He was, in essence, a living, breathing analogy to this world's problems. Someone who struggled with his inner demons all his life. Did so much wrong. Finally got his act together and started to repent for his past behavior, his past anger. Became a true father, a true husband, a true, full human being. Just as this is happening, he's shot dead. Why are the most peaceful of us taken by such violence? MLK. John Lennon. Mahatma Gandhi. Marla Ruzicka. The list can go on and on. I don't want anymore names added to that list. I can't stand to see it grow any longer. Every day someone is killed in violence. When is something going to give? What is it going to take to make us realise how wrong we are? What more, in the name of love?"
  12. 1 The Beatles 2 The Rolling Stones 3 U2 Rearrange those and add Coldplay, and yeah. I agree. Don't know about the rest of the list though... These positioning things are so stupid. Psh.
  13. What a concert last night................... And I thought it couldn't get better. Whoa!!!! Pictures and videos coming soon, from both the 4th as well as the 7th.
  14. lmfao why the hell did I have to break my finger TODAY!?
  15. I'm in Rhode Island, only a good hour (with no traffic) outside Boston. It took 2 and a half hours in the snow on Sunday though. Bleh! I'm an hour and a half outside Hartford, and it's a pretty nice drive. I'm incredibly lucky to be in an essential 'U2 Hub' for performances (I could have even made it to MSG if I had the money  ). Awesome ticket story. Really, the things we go to to see our bands, huh? The show I'm going to tomorrow is the only one that I didn't get scalped for. Fucking shitty ass seats, but I'll be there. Numero Cuatro, babay! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them to come back in maybe another year or 2, I don't know about you guys. *sends lots of good karma to band* C'mon U2, pull a Zooropa, make a quick, brilliant album and get back on tour! I'm selfish, what can I say! :P Mildred, I completely agree with what you said about Coldplay. It really is no offense to them or there music when I say U2 has a better live show. I think U2 has a better live show than ANY act out there, even heads over heels above the Rolling Stones (who I caught in Fenway this past summer). It's not JUST about the kick ass rock 'n roll they're shelling out to us, but it's about something much deeper. I'm not a person of a prescribed faith (not to get into religion or anything, it just relates to what I'm saying). Yet everytime I go to see U2 I feel like... there is something DEEPER in the house. Something above me, or Bono, or anyone. I really feel a strange urge to drop to my knees at the end of each show. Sure, it sounds really weird, but for a person who's never believed in anything, they give me something to believe in. I can feel Coldplay aspiring to that, and I felt the beginings of it in August. I just don't think they have that experience as of yet. Give them a few more thousand stadium shows and 20 more years, and I'm sure they'll be right there alongside U2. Now, I am going to go blast Vertigo and wish that I could blast this on my guitar to get pumped for tomorrow (get this, I broke my finger in gym today. Greeeaaat   ). *done blabbing*
  16. I really wanted to hear something from Pop. Badly. I'm completely happy with what I got, though. It would have been so crazy if they left after Fast Cars then went "Oh no, psych, guess what? Let's play Discotheque and... dun dun dun MOFO!"  :P Oh geez, I arrived at around 2:15pm with my dad, and it was around 30 degrees (farenheit, over here in America). It wasn't snowing at that point and that's when we decided to head over to the entrance ramp that they arrive at. The temp dropped as time went by and it started to snow..... I was stuck standing in a friggin' puddle and my toes were going absolutely numb (in fact, to while the time away I sang a solo version of Numb complete with backing vocals and sound effects :smug: ) No hard feelings towards the band, though, with the fact that they didn't come out. Honestly, it WAS really late and I wouldn't want Bono to get sick and jeopardize the rest of the tour. Here's the REALLY crazy thing: I'm doing the same thing on Wednesday for Hartford. Come hell or high snow mounds, I will try and get my Bono Hand Shake before they head off into the great unknown (erm... South America? )
