I have had a rather upsetting time of it updated !!
- how do you greet your friends?
Depends who it is. But no matter how hard I try I still don't feel entirely comfortable hugging or kissing girls.- New staff wanted
   Nice one Ian - just throw a stone into the pond and watch the ripples ..... !!!- New staff wanted
- OMG!!!!
- Who is or who was your childhood hero ?
I'm old, so mine were: 1. Guy Burgess (of Burgess & Maclean - spies) - at 18 months old (no kidding!) 2. Elvis - at 3 years old 3. The Lone Ranger 4. George Harrison 5. Illya Kuryakin (from The Man From U.N.C.L.E). That takes me up to the age of 14. I think that's enough! :D 5.- attractive women in football kit
He was very naughty! :o But it kinda made him more human :D- Who is or who was your childhood hero ?
Aren't there two threads called this???- Who is or who was your childhood hero ?
 Cool ! Nice gear! Who's he play for?- Who is or who was your childhood hero ?
I had loads of heroes - one after the other! My first was Guy Burgess (of the Soviet spies Burgess & Maclean) - I was 18 months old and I went 'all of a heap' on his pic in the newspaper! Then it was Elvis - I was three, and cried all the way home because I lost his pic in a taxi in London, then it was The Lone Ranger, the Man From Uncle, George Harrison, my brother's best friend (dreamy!), the list goes on .... lol- Who is or who was your childhood hero ?
oooh, Hayley! he's scarey!!- Because We're Friends .....
Kasia, no kidding! If she was a boy they'd have called her 'Guy' ....... well, they might have in the UK lol! This song's a sad song though - it's about dumping someone you know is no good for you, and yet you still have feelings for them.- Because We're Friends .....
Fifi, I hope they'll like it - I adore it, of course, George is my hero!! :) Your avatar's hilarious, btw    Mooning smiley ha ha ha - Because We're Friends .....
Awww, thanks everyone! I've not been here for a few days - been practising in my spare minutes! To answer your questions: el_scorcho wrote: 'Wow I would be freaked out too What's this for Vic?' It's a reunion concert of a very well known folk club from the 1970s - this is a 30 year+ reunion, and all the people who used to play there are invited. A lot of them have gone on to be well known recording artists/performers/music producers etc - like Al Stewart (those of you in the States might know of him), and Jasper Carrott and Fred Wedlock. Tom Peed wrote: 'whatcha playing?' I'm playing a song called November 5th - my son wrote it and he's playing it with me. It's quite complex, more of a duet than a song, if you know what I mean. Heavy strumming and flat-picking. Not your usual 'two verses, a chorus, then a verse and a chorus' sort of thing!! It's quite out of my usual experience, that's why I'm finding it such a challenge. Thank you all SO much!! I need all the luck I can get! If it goes well, I'll post the song somewhere .... !!- Sternly, Carla,Hicksy, Ian, anyone
[glow=violet:b94da4deb1]Testing[/glow:b94da4deb1] :/ oooh I say!!! I did it!! :smug: :D :D - Smack da penguins!
- Which Coldplay´s integrant is the most....??
All gorgeous!- Because We're Friends .....
..... I feel I can tell you this - I'm SCARED!! I have to play guitar and sing this really difficult song on 8th March to an audience of about 400 people, most of whom are professional musicians/involved in the music industry/just know what they're talking about/are older than me (!), and I'm having nightmares about it. I haven't done this for 30 years would you believe, and I'M SCARED SHITLESS!! But not too scared to have a go. If I can pull this off I will feel SO good. If I screw up I'll just feel normal. What have I got to lose? Wish me luck everyone! Oh, and if you want a ticket, they're £10, and everyone else on the bill is just amazing ......- congratulations Ian and Stephen!
Back on topic for a mo - just wanna say CONGRATS IAN AND STEPHEN! BEST BOARD EVER!!!! You deserve all praise! :D :D :D- Hicksy
