  1. i'm perched for more, this forum was missing some good entertainment. fight girls!
  2. they probably already deleted everything related to mots seeing how people hate the album and now hate the band too
  3. After working on it for basically the entire year, Coldplay's list of awards on Wikipedia is now officially a featured article, which means it's a high quality list with reliable sources. My journey began here: And it now ends here! (The missing stuff on Wikipedia is because the ceremonies need to have their own article to be included, which is nonsense in my opinion, but whatever). When I became a Coldplay fan one of the things I first noticed was how understated their legacy is, I know awards are not everything but it's part of their achievements, making them well documented is essencial and the least I could to in return for those who provided the music that was there for me when no one was. Love this old men! Anyway, here's a before and after + their achievements and impact section, which I also wrote.
  4. Coloratura vs Viva La Vida
  5. they scrapped an entire version of X&Y before releasing what we know today, so discarding albums would definitely not something new
  6. Given the reception, maybe Vol.1 is the first and last.
  7. the people who were there said the performance was good, y'all are just wanting to hate for the sake of hating at this point ?
  8. the performance was fine, it was AMAs sound engineer who was shit, just check some phone recordings from people that were there
  9. Coloratura is described as the afterlife, so... What is beyond it?
  10. I think I said this before here but the biggest problem to me is the Oldplay x Newplay debacle. I feel like the band might think making stuff like Arabesque, Coloratura, etc. is pandering to the crowd that mindlessly repeats "Oldplay is better" until the end of time, hence why they show up less often. We need to praise those songs for what they are: new amazing pieces that show artistic growth, that's how we encourage them to lean towards that side more, not by going "it's good because it sounds like the stuff you made back in 2005 when your mind and relationships were completely f***ed up".
  11. Promo. My Universe still is the current single, if I remember correctly we should get the next one around January. As for December, I don't think it will be very crowded for them, we have Christmas after all.
  12. At this point I just hope they scrap everything and return with something different, everyone hates this album ?
  13. 2022 = 20 years of AROBTTH, 24 years of career. FFTF2024. I don't know, maybe I'm just tripping.
  14. Coloratura as a single would lowkey make perfect sense right now, they submitted the song to the Grammys and promoting it during the next months would be a great campaign.
  15. I can't believe it's almost 80% sold out within a week in the US, I was expecting underwhelming sales since there's no Super Bowl performance to push it this time. They are touring legends like U2 at this point, and I'm not even saying that as a fan! Anyway, looking forward to solo Brazilian dates, Rock In Rio sucks.
  16. As I said before, I think they might follow a kpop-esque release strategy after LP12: mini albums and smaller tours, but happening more often than a regular album, which takes 2-3 years.
  17. I wouldn't mind them stopping at album 12 if they're still playing live and making smaller releases like singles and EPs. It's much less stressful to promote than a full LP and it doesn't get as much attention from haters.
  18. By the way, the streaming era began officially in 2016, which is when Spotify, YouTube, etc. started to be counted towards charts and certifications, sales were still solid though, but nowadays streaming represent a massive 84% of the market.
  19. I'm close friends with them and help with the sales, but not really a manager.
  20. With pre-release streams, Music of the Spheres already have 600k units sold worldwide, it will probably be at 2-4 million when it's all said and done. Those are great numbers for a band in the current climate, let alone a 23 years old one, almost 24! Coldplay outlasted all of their peers and on top of it are a stadium-filling act, if you think the situation is bad, bear in mind they're still the biggest band in the world.
  21. I'm kind of already coming into terms with how this is arguably Coldplay's weakest album even though I liked it, but they still delivered Coloratura, their best song, a Knocked Out Loaded by Bob Dylan experience ?
  22. Y'all seriously need to learn how to draw the line between criticizing the band and disrespecting them. I've just read a 1/10 review they added on AOTY and the guy is just saying the album is shit and calling the band names, how is that going to help them improve in any way? Coldplay need us fans to guide them properly because: a) I doubt they read these reviews. b) Ranting will be interpreted as the stereotypical Oldplayer, which they won't pay attention to either.
  23. I get that a lot of people are frustrated but you're literally acting like a hater right now + there's 0 need to trash the band's collaborators. 18 months ago was April 2020, four months after is August 2020. BTS was yet to release Dynamite, their first #1 single, they had less Top 10 singles than Coldplay at the time, we would be getting this song with "chart viability" or not.
