  1. I truly enjoyed the songs, seriously! Even though I also agreed with some of the criticism. The problem here is that this isn't like AHFOD, which had a mixed/controversial reception, MOTS is panned, truly panned. And it all feels so unnecessary to me, people are writing the band off like they were f***ing Maroon 5 or something. Anyway, now that I'm done with my crying (it wasn't manner of speech, I'm feeling that awful), I just hope they can turn things around for the best. And no, the band doesn't need a "back to the roots" bullshit: Coloratura was bold, brilliant and new, they're still capable of amazing stuff. So... that's it! See you guys around on Twitter or something, I need to leave my Coldplay-related things right now, for my own mental health's sake (and to be honest I already needed to get my shit together, seeing some of the people I love the most in this world being so hated was probably just the last straw). I know you guys are probably thinking I'm acting like a drama queen, but trust me, I don't have that hability.
  2. The reception this album is having genuinely makes me feel like crying, I'm probably will going to do it after publishing this actually. I know the band is not even seeing all of it and I definitely need to snap back into reality instead of obsessing over them but still. See you around my friends, I need to detach myself from the internet as much as possible for now ?
  3. I feel so bad right now, it's not an incredible album but worst of the year? Even the critical side of me think it's an exaggeration, I hope the band can turn this around, they deseve nothing but love?
  4. Magic and Adventure of a Lifetime were big hits, Everglow a minor one but still. I don't think the collabs are the problem here to be honest.
  5. I think people are overhating this album to be honest, Coloratura, Infinity Sign, Human Heart and even People of the Pride are not that commercially viable. They tried to balance things out and it became kinda messy, that's all.
  6. As mentioned before, I liked Vol.1 but can't help to feel underwhelmed. It seems they just wanted to have fun, explore new stuff and play it live, which ultimately resulted in something more carefree, I won't use "lazy" because they clearly had a lot of effort into putting the era together for us. With that said, this and Vol.3 (which I'm not sure it exists) will likely be marketed as side albums, which gives me hope for them to concentrate fully in the art, they tried to balance things on Vol.1 but it didn't worked well. And please no more emojis, I have nothing against it but the only thing they got from this idea was more hate, we don't need more hate.
  7. Just passing by to say whether MOTS is an underwhelming album or not we still can respect the band instead of writing them off, like seriously, I didn't saw anything particularly awful here but some fans are acting more like haters. Besides, did you guys expected Everyday Life after AHFOD? No, no one did! Let's just hope Vol.2 is better, I personally think it will since there's a side-project nature to it.
  8. The hype already wore off to me since I listened to the album early and well... People are either completely loving or completely hating the album, I feel weird for being in a middle ground. Not their best effort but far from being their worst.
  9. what if the melodic orbit in three parts thing is actually three singles (higher power, my universe, let somebody go) and we'll only get a second volume (there's only two symbols in the single cds)
  10. removing my sad reaction because the song actually slaps
  11. i just noticed my leak doesn't have mots 2 lmaoooo
  12. mr berryman caught me off guard and i'm still trying to recover
  13. this is a wild beautiful album, i'm just happy that chris, guy, jonny, will and phil exist and are releasing new music right now, love them to the moon and back again ?❤️
  14. I thought the transition between Human Heart and People of the Pride would be a mess, so happy to be wrong right now.
  15. Let Somebody Go is amazing and Selena's voice matched Chris' very well. I don't care if it's a cheesy ballad, I love it.
  16. Humankind didn't hit me as expected, I think it's just a matter of getting used to it though.
  17. this only comes as a surprise to people outside of the pop realm to be honest, max martin has multiple major artists on chokehold for a reason besties
  18. i love how the fact this album is meant to be their commercial comeback didn't stoped them from making bold moves such as potp, infinity sign and coloratura, they're not just a band, they're ARTISTS
  19. what the hell was even infinity sign? that wasn't a song, it was an experience, WHEW! it's like viva la vida and ghost stories had a baby
  20. I'm waiting for the whole thing to leak to hear it as the band intended but you're making me hyped, ugh.
  21. of course it was going to leak while i'm in class, the universe hates me
  22. I really hope they make a global release like Coloratura and My Universe, this timezone thing is awful.
  23. They probably just don't want to give out spoilers.
  24. the Army hates leaks, if you ask for a BTS leak they'll tear your apart
