I like the idea of All My Love being the penultimate track, as opposed to having it squashed in the front half with the singles

I'll be cool with it if it's a collection of full tracks a-la Yes/Chinese Sleep Chant, but if it's a bunch of interludes glued together I'll be disappointed. I was excited to hear Neon Forest and Angel Song under the presumption they were full songs. Also not sure what to think about Little Simz potentially being on two tracks. I like her stuff but one track is enough!

So when you say Neon Forest, you mean that section of 🌈 or the full three bits?

So based off than an educated guess for the tracklist is 1. moonmusic 2. feelslikeimfallinginlove 3. allmylove 4. jupiter 5. goodfeelings Then side B is a mystery, except oneworld has got to be there and probably supernova/wepray as well. Which just leaves three others.

Going by the two names we have (feelslikeimfallinginlove and afilmforthefuture) I'm guessing the entire tracklist will be formatted that way. Well, it's better than emojis.

A Film for the Future has a bit of One World in the background. A nice preview if nothing else. What if... One World is a video track on the digital release? It would be easier to cram the vocal credits into a film than it would be with a booklet.

Hmm... 10 tracks? Did an interlude get cut/incorporated into the body of a song? Or are they really gonna go "nah we're not releasing Neon Forest fuck you lol"

The artwork was done by Matias Alonso Revelli. Google their work, lots of cool Moon art. We'll probably see more of their art in the MM campaign, like this one

Artwork is good! October release date is less good

If you look at the other lead singles from the last 15 years, they’re all very good songs. But none of them are the best track off the album, nor do they really represent the albums they’re from quite frankly. They represent the poppier side of Coldplay, even from the less poppy albums. And with that in mind FLIFIL fits in really snugly. I’d even say it’s better than a lot of songs on this list. ETIAW Magic AOAL Orphans Higher Power

Yes! It’s next Friday

It’s Friday in a few hours. I’m not staying up to see if FLIFIL will drop as I’m pretty sure it won’t, but surely we’re only a week away from it? Surely.

Well, it's either the soundcheck song or the soundcheck song is not on the album. And given the band posted a recording session of that song recently on Instagram, it's a fair assumption. Could be wrong of course. We'll see what happens when/if the snippet is leaked.

We now have previews of every song from the album except the interludes. Obviously not enough to judge the record as a whole, but enough to judge what kind of album it's going to be. It's going to be a stylistically inconsistent album I think, certainly not the closest relative to Viva in their discography. That said, it feels like it will be better put together than MOTS at least, and probably AHFOD too. The stretch from from All My Love to Angel Song might please those hoping for a more low-key record, plus One World and possibly Man in the Moon as well. Even FLIFIL has an Oldplayish feel to it. But then there's Good Feelings and We Pray (and possibly Jupiter) that are Newplay through and through, and it will be interesting to hear how they flow with the record of the album (if at all).
