But they're still putting finishing touches on it (still!), the FLIFIL mix isn't quite finished, and that the amount of time it then takes to manufacture and distribute vinyl means the release date is still a little while off.

Someone posted this on reddit Yes, I enjoyed it a lot. Still being mixed and not the final version we heard tonight, but if the rest of the album is like this, I’m really looking forward to it. Had a hopeful feel to it, which is much needed these days. It sounded more stripped back than the newer stuff, while still having elements of it. It made me feel the way I felt listening to them ~15 years ago. Not sure if it was the atmosphere or what, but the whole night was magical. I like something in most of their songs, but I haven’t felt the way I used to feel, while listening to them in a while. This one was immediate. I hope the final mix is similar to what we heard tonight. No problem, we were really lucky tonight. Happy to share what I can because I think a lot of people will like this one.

I feel like something along the way hasn't gone to plan. Surely they were supposed to play new music at Big Weekend, why would they have promoted it with MM teasers? But for some reason the MM rollout has been delayed. But if that's the case, why the new profile pics and teasers on streaming services? This band, man.

So there's definitely not going to be a release at midnight in Australia tonight. It's possible there'll be something later during Friday GMT, but honestly I'm thinking maeli is right. There's not enough activity right now for a single to be imminent. Maybe next Friday?

That's not the fake tracklist we're referring to. There was one posted to the other site a few weeks ago. The YouTube tracklist I currently believe to be the correct one, or at least the closest to being correct.

My hope is that the album announcement happens at the same time as the single drop. Artwork, release date, tracklist, hopefully song lengths, and opening the pre-orders. Please don't dripfeed us that stuff.

So maybe we were all wrong and Feels Like I'm Falling in Love will be the first single after all? I'm cool with that. Quite excited actually. The snippet makes it sound like it accomplishes the Popplay thing without being at all embarrassing

The message posted to the other site just now is bang on the fucking money. I’ve been on the boards since 2005 and there have been some real ups and downs, but it’s never been as toxic and horrible as it is right now. Myself and I assume most of us are here because we’re fans of Coldplay and want to discuss their music. That’s it. But in recent months we’ve been exposed to a slew of toxic sludge that’s affecting my mental health and I’m sure it’s the same for others. Throwing around constant slurs, doxxing, unsubstantiated allegations, telling people to kill themselves/threatening suicide and for what? A bunch of unreleased songs where Chris Martin preaches about peace and love? Does no-one see the irony in that? The band would be ashamed of their fans and I’m ashamed of this community. I’m sure this post is going to get me relentlessly mocked on discord and other places but I don’t care. I’m glad someone finally said something.
