You can hear that Infinity Sign definitely evolved out of Life is Beautiful, a lot of the stems from the LIB demo are exactly the same. Interesting that the LIB demo is obviously unfinished, it doesn't have Johnny or Will on it. You guys would know better than me whether there's a more fleshed out version in a vault somewhere, or if they only got so far before scrapping it.

So bloody happy for those Infinity Sign stems.

What do we make of this one lads?

It was inspired a lot by Coldplay songs like Coloratura and Rainbow, there's a song that kind of like Arabesque, that sort of thing. Brian Eno, Mew, Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros, a dash of Swans, you could probably describe it better than I could. It took me a year to make. It was inspired by the loss of my first child and the birth of my second one. Very emotional but hopefully not too much. The Yellow intro was said to be a part of Neon Forest by Phil on Twitter, and it was listed as Neon Forest in the credits to the River Plate concert film. How it was supposed to fit with the rest of Neon Forest I have no idea, and the final album mix gave us no clues. I just took a wild guess. If you liked that mix you might like the one I did after the album was actually released. In it the Neon Forest chorus repeats (as it should) and I used the full length Angelsong (from the Full Moon edition). I removed the spoken word bit and the Karate Kid intro sample, but that's just personal preference. I know it’s not even been 2 months yet but I honestly feel 🌈 is one of the best songs they’ve ever done ever. Honestly I might even put it above any Viva song, which I would’ve thought impossible a year ago. I’m thrilled we got the full Angelsong but I need the full Neon Forest though. Via leak, EP release or otherwise. 🌈 is going to feel forever unfinished to me until we have that.

Viva la Vida Ghost Stories Moon Music AROBTTH Everyday Life Parachutes X&Y Mylo Xyloto A Head Full of Dreams MOTS MM still has that new album smell so maybe it’ll leave the top 3 in a few months. But it has been the soundtrack to the biggest moment of my life so perhaps it’ll stay.

Chris has talked about it multiple times over the past four years. Question is what will come first, the musical or self titled. I know the self titled was planned to be their last but Chris said recently it may get bumped up if the musical production takes too long.

Jokes aside I'm keeping my hopes up for the musical The Moon Music title track has fairly narrative based lyrics, so I wouldn't be shocked if a lot of the music was along the lines of that. Earthling also has narrative based lyrics and is quite similar in that regard. Both songs + Weirdo are excellent, so if that's the direction they're going in it could be really good. If the Alien themed songs are more Angelsong and less Biytyful then all the better. Add on top of that the musical will (allegedly) have no singles, so there's less incentive to make a big obnoxious My Universe style song. Musical soundtracks are traditionally quite orchestral as well, so there's a good chance of having a ton of John Metcalfe and Davide Rossi on there. idk. With Moon Music I got the vibe the band were slowly wrapping up the "pop" phase of their career and are moving into more low-key introspective stuff to finish up on. MM feels like the transitional album between the two. I could be very wrong of course.

It's just a joke about the current pattern of every second album being well received MX/AHFOD/MOTS - controversial/divisive albums Viva/GS/EL/MM - mainly loved by the fanbase
